To be honest I think it's a cracking rivalry, its a shame that it includes hate. We should reserve that for Wigan and Bradford respectively. We are the envy of the Super League, and when we meet it's top class entertainment. The game last Friday was enthralling, and the cup tie promises to be mouthwatering, lets rejoice in the fact we are super duper

You're absolutely right with your assesment, both here and on southstander.com, and most of the usual suspects have shown their hand on this thread in an attempt to defend their actions.
Personally I just cannot understand what motivates someone to encourage others to hate them and then call it "banter", its not, its a mental illness 
I like to compare it to you sitting in your favourite pub tap room with all your friends when a complete stranger walks in and sets about insulting each and every one of you - it just wouldn't happen in real life and yet to some its an enjoyable form of recreation when online.
You have to feel some pity for them really... |

Some people seem to like to live in their "st helens" or "leeds" bubble (or any other club) rather than remembering that we are all just normal people who support a great game, the only difference is the team we have chosen to support.

| The way I see it is people do model themselves (or is it just me?) on something as been some kind of alias/persona on here. A the end of the day its nothing new is it? You’ll have to blame Sacha baron Cohen for making it really popular who puts himself in embarrassing situations for the amusement of others.
Another one is Dom Jolly. One of my favourites of his is Depressed Goth from the television show World Shut Your Mouth where he go talks to old folk in the park about how depressing his life is. Check it out on that infamous site!
Personally my persona on here is an idiot trying to break into the cliques but he never does. Oh I also model myself on this guy who puts himself across a very small minded individual! -

ive said before the world cup was awesome for this and by far the best thing about the trip(kiwi's winning was pretty awesome too) the banter was first class with fans from all clubs! and to be honet i met a lot of nice saints fans.
but you cant beat a bit of grudge during the season. as long as it dosent end up in fights at the games. this is something that always gets to me when i hear of it. theres just no need |
