I also agree with this. These past couple of weeks we've been playing some good attacking rugby. I don't want us to revert back to 3/5 drives ZZZzzz and a kick rugby.

| Quote ="Sthelens RLFC"I'd flood the forwards for this. Play Wilkin/Turner at 6 and if it works stick with it for the rest of the year. Harsh on Travis but I feel our best chance of success this year is playing with a big pack and having a go at smashing other teams up the middle. I don't feel we'll lose much in attack with Travis dropping out and we'll benefit defensively by not having Burns and Walsh acting as turnstiles.

I agree with this, we should be OK with 2 kickers especially also with Robes having a good short kicking game.

i think that might be the key. our kicking game over that last few games has been very good. Also Walsh's goal kicking has been top notch to.
we have 4 very capable kickers

| That Leeds result makes tommorows game even more interesting. I laughed at BMcD post match comments. Quite clearly doing KC's teamtalk for him. Right out of the Alex Ferguson textbook that one.

I noticed him and Terry have both wrote Saints off in their predictions for the game tonight.
We'll win tonight, I'm that confident. Which is incredible judging on the past month when we didn't know where our next win was coming from. We have a real chance of topping the table.

It would be our best win since the GF if we win tonight. Playing Wigan, going for the top, without Walmsley and in simply awful form across the park? Seems a stretch to me.

It'll be more difficult without Walmsley I admit, but we've got Vea back and we're growing in confidence from the last few games, especially against Leeds & Cas. The last game was awful defensively but I was encouraged with the way we attacked.
Wigan's away record overall this season is ropey an all mate. Wigan are going for top but if we win tonight then the LLS is anyone's from 1-4.

| Leeds result really sets up the semi's, think home advantage in the semi's for us is crucial, think tonight could be a classic, think our discipline will be key, if we keep the penalty count down we can win, if we don't we will lose, Leeds looked shot to me, the GF is up for grabs, at least the South Stand " Band " will not be there tonight.

| This is why I was saying that we need to have a bit more perspective. It's sport, you can't win every match. At the moment we are 2 games away from topping the league. Were a some reactions on here have been as though we where going to be heading into the million pound game.
Early in the season people where saying Warrington were the team to beat and we would struggle to match them.
Should be a great game tonight. Everything to play for!!!

| Early days, but our attack seems pedestrian and our defence is scrambling and disorganised. Only Pie errors kept us in it to Tomkins' try.
Lads need to sort their heads out. They look like they don't believe they can win at the moment.

I always defend Richards but he really doesn't help himself with daft errors like he's made.

| Our passing is just off. Not just the ones which are not going to hand, but also the timing of those which do : too many balls going behind them man or to him, rather than in front so he can run on to it. Which partly explains our lack of go forward.

| Great play by Saints we've helped Wigan but they have already lost discipline as they are not getting their own way.
Can see a Wigan forward walking second half at this rate. Lots of high shots

Mose has done that for the last two years, just some one eyed speccies would prefer to have an 80 minute plodder who grafts. Mose is an impact player, and he has done exactly that while he has been here. We will be a lot worse without him

| This team is showing a great deal of guts. They've been tremendously resilient, physically and mentally, to be going in at HT 6-6.
But what they've got in guts they seriously lack in smarts. The usual penalties are there, often for the most pointless things (e.g. Jones pushing the man over at the PTB on tackle 4 when we already had our line set). The two best attacking territorial sets we've had have been squandered on tackle 1. And where we've had chances to break away we've bombed the pass.
We're still in the game, but we don't half make it difficult for ourselves.

| There's a real difference in defence. Wig and line is much faster to get up. Saints are walking three forward then standing. We seem to be gifting them yards, perhaps because we think it'll keep our defensive line more organised.

| Quinlan needs to add more value than that. That was awful. But it was also some pretty awful defence in the line too. Saints genuinely look absolutely shattered. What on earth have they been doing this last week?
