Nope.
If Reardon was a top performer for Warrington like Pryce is for us then they wouldnt be doing it. IMO they are exploiting an opportunity to get rid of someone who hasnt lived up to expectations....nothing to do with morals, family sport etc...etc...

In my opinion we won't.
Whether we should is a more difficult question to answer in many ways. From a moral pov then i'd say we should yes, if he was a regular employee at a regular company i think it would probably be a straight forward thing... however from a selfish, wanting the best team on the park, pov we'd possibly suffer if we did let him go.

| Just a thought on some things that I can recall in my many years, all this talk of clubs or the RFL punishing players for various things, I'm speaking of the legal issue with Leon, and also in the news Ben Cockayne, the way I see it is that these people will have been handed a sentence by THE BRITISH JUSTCE SYSTEM, so therefore they have paid for there misdemeanors, and any further action by clubs etc wouldnt a smart lawyer actually say what I have just done. They have been before the law and justice system of the land and been punished for their wrong doings, that should be the end of it.

| From my own POV, if the RFL have not been involved previously then they should not be involved either with Cockayne or with Pryce and Reardon. If they want to be involved from now on in then that's up to them, but it would be out of order for them to allow Bailey, who did serve time, to continue playing while getting on their high horses about Cockayne and Pryce and Reardon. They should work on some new structure if they think they have a place these days in sorting out these things.
When any action by a club is considered, some thought surely has to be given to the nature and seriousness of the crime committed. Common assault is a crime almost any one of us could get caught for if our 'victim' wanted to take issue. All it takes is a bit of a push ... That is entirely different from kicking someone repeatedly in the head or indeed at all. Therefore, if there are any sanctions for Cockayne or Pryce and Reardon they should be in line with the crime they committed. Not all crimes are the same and even the law recognises that (Cockayne being guilty of ABH, Pryce and Reardon of common assault). Should someone with a speeding or a driving without due care conviction be banned from playing? I think not.
Personally, I don't think Saints should do anything further to Pryce or Warrington to Reardon. Whatever sentence they are handed down will be sufficient given the nature of their crimes. Cockayne is a slightly different matter because of the relative seriousness of what he did but the RFL still should not interfere because they did not do so over Bailey. His future should be left to HKR, given that that has been the policy to date.

| why did Millward get sacked from Saints? Abusive behaviour, in private. He was never convicted of any crimes.
It would be a case of outrageous double standards if Saints didnt sack him - but I dont expect that we will.

I think there is a slight difference. Millward's offences were conducted on duty, so he was officially representing the club at the time.
There is of course the argument that a sportsman is representing his club at all times, and I do not in any way condone Pryce's actions, but I think they are different cases.

it was so "public" that not one member of the media decided it was worth mentioning till he got sacked. Had Saints not raised the issue, it would have gone completely un-noticed.
Leon Pryce was featured on the front page of the Daily Mirror last week, and in most other newspapers that I saw. Anything he does can never be classed as "off duty" or "private" when he ends up all over the media, bringing disgrace to the club.
Another recent sacking by the club was the young lad who failed a drugs test, and couldnt play for 2 years. If Pryce is "unavailable" for selection for any period and they dont take similar action, again it is a massive case of double standards.
All is irrelevant though, the club will issue some sort of strong sounding statement and then do nothing about i.t
