Found out on Twitter today that Mike Appleton has been on holiday all week so that may well explain why communication between club and fans has completely broken down! That and the transfer to the new server at Langtree Park.'"
The information I have been getting from within the club, is as I mentioned a week or two ago is that they are understaffed at various phases of the refit and transition. On top of that they probably have a lengthening snagging list to handle, I believe they have had problems with some of the data ports this week.
I assume almost all the pre ordered season tickets have been issued now averaging over 500 tickets a day over the past 2 weeks.
Still think we should give the club some breathing space to get everything up and running.

OK so Pete was OTT but he has a point which many agree with - this shop / season ticket / not having a flippin' working telephone number thing has been an absuolute shambles and anyone who can't see that is blinded to misguided loyalty.
How many ticket sales have they lost our club by not having a telephone ?
Unbelievable.
I live 10 miles away and have been three times to the ground / shop and still have not got my season ticket.
I am seriously thinking of writing to Sir Mac as I'm sure he would be appalled with what has gone on.

Listen pinner, if you think the club is being run well on the marketing side if things then your either thick or so blinded by all things saints must he great that you can't see reality.
They have been given a real opportunity at saints to really make something of the club after years of running up huge debt and still can't capitalise on this great opportunity. We've had our bank debt wrote off, we've moved in to a brand new stadium owned by us with no bank debt, we've got fans buying season tickets for first time in years but we still make sane mistakes!
The communication to fans is still rick bottom, not telling fans their season tickets are not ready was shocking. Fans paid out £100s on tickets then wasted time and money to pick them up and they wasn't ready. The fact the club didn't even try to notify fans is shocking!
The fact they have changed the number at the shop and not told anyone is unreal to me, god knows how many tickets sales, season tickets etc the club lost out on.
The Friday of the open training event, they said all tickets should be picked up before 4pm or you can't get in (that's if your lucky enough to have got your ticket), yet I know mates who turned up at 3-40pm and the shop was shut.
Not jumping on Xmas trade by staying open late on Thursday and opening on Sunday is just crazy.
Not capitalising on the first ever game at Langtree park by offering fans the chance to buy soeicial keep sake tickets at a few quid extra cost would have made the club thousands but they give us crappy plain White tickets.
I run my own successful business and if this was my business, heads would role.

| I would agree with the point that some things aren't well run, that's pretty obvious but that's a long way from calling the club's management a shower of e.
They weren't "given" an opportunity to make something of the club, they created that opportunity through a huge amount of hard work, personal investment and finding ways to fund the new stadium so to accuse them of squandering something that's just been handed to them on a plate is well wide of the mark.
My real point here which you seem to have completely missed is that the club only exists in its current form for you to slag off because of this "shower of e". If they hadn't come along you wouldn't be slating the club's marketing because there'd be nothing to market. So I will continue to defend them (whilst understanding that they're not perfect) whether you like it or not.

| What's going on here, some on here have turned into "saddened clones" during the masters absence.
I would rather be optimistic and say marketing will improve once everything is up and running. We were flogging a dead horse on the marketing side at Knowsley Road with an impeding move to a new stadium which probably had quite a few false dawns over the years.
We only received the keys to an unfinished stadium in November, to be fully operative in 4 to 6 weeks is impossible, you,ve more chance of seing a bloke in a red suit flying over the new stadium way bridge.
I shoul imagine Sir Mac will be looking at other revenue streams to get the club profitable over a 7 day operation, he knows he,s got a great fan base coming his way in 2012 and is probably has done a risk assessment in some disgruntled fans due to technical, staff shortages and human error.
The only problem I have with the club is the communication, I would sooner they say that the club shuts down for 4 weeks to get everything up and running.
Instead they seem to be trying to keep the balls up in the air trying to please everybody, which is impossible.
The club will have more important priorities to conclude like a full health and safety certificate, sponsors,, conferences etc etc. the amount of opportunities this stadium brings is massive..............stop whining and let them get on with it.

You obviously think that 10 days of lost telephone sales of merchandise and season tickets is OK and that saints don't need the money or the fans.
You are really coming accross as a sycophant of the highest order.

Yea sure but I dont think his post was one of those.
At the moment Im willing to cut them some slack but once everything Is up and running they need to improve drastically on a number of customer related issues.
The new marketing fella needs to become a lot more pro active over the next few months. If not I might be joining Saddened's gang.

You can't win the point so you resort to childish insults.
The "why don't you go and support another club" is pretty pathetic quite frankly - are you a young child?
I was born in knowsley road right near the stadium and have supported the club for 50 years, so the chances of me supporting another club are nil. I am immensley proud of the new stadium and can't wait to go to every home game this season.
My "satisfaction specification" includes a shop which has advertised opening hours and a phone number which is correct and is sometimes answered.
How unreasonable of me?

So the fact they have built us a new stadium means they have reached their peak? No need to make money now, stuff the marketing as the fans should just pay up because we've built a new stadium.
Sorry, it don't work like that. They should be trying even harder.
Even tho we are debt free with the bank don't mean we are totally debt free, we still have to pay the money back.
The last few month has proved how unorganised the club is and also shows they have not learned from mistakes of the past.
Give it 2/3 years and we will be a million at least in debt.

For once I'll agree with Pete on this aspect.
Just been speaking with my family who had bought season tickets and went to the new club shop to pick up said tickets, they where in the shop for 30 minutes. No one knew where the tickets where or how to find them. There were a couple infront of my family who had come from glouster to pick up their tickets. Same thing no idea where they were. It's not like they ca just pop back.

Sorry to here you still have not got your season ticket. For me the transition including the Xmas period is now over so my stance has changed. If this problem involves a lot of supporters they should be making a statement on the club news and send out any outstanding tickets next day delivery free of charge.
The problem I had last year was my first "home" game at Widnes my seat was sold twice, luckily I got another seat 2 rows back for the rest of the season. Hope this scenario dosn,t happen at Langtree Park.
When I picked up my season ticket last month from the shop, it was a "physical" one ie loads of white envelopes in a box one with your name in there, your envelope was handed over, but I didn,t see them enter anything on the computer to register the issue. This means they can,t cross check what tickets have been issued, so if they have a few mis placed ones they might think these have been issued but the system can,t confirm this.
Don,t know what system other clubs use wonder if Rogues can advise if they come across with similar problems.

Not as I am aware of certainly we didn't and there were about ten of us in our group. But we were lucky in that we had about five months in moving from Central Park to the JJB and the stadium was already complete for that period. The big advantage was that we were allowed to go and view (chose our seats) before we bought whereas at Saints the stadium was still a building site for a year from your move at Knowsley Road.
We have always had computerised swipe card access and that's worked well apart from one season when a few of the renewals somehow didn't swipe properly.

Did you arrange yours at one of the roadshows? It's just that I've yet to come across someone who has had problems from that period. The people so far I've read about who have had problems have been those people who bought a season ticket close to the day when they first arrived in the old town centre store.
