I've only listened to the game on Radio Manchester but you got the feeling the Wire comeback really came on the back of Saints taking their eye off the ball and that bar that 8 minute spell it was a pretty convining St Helens victory.

Like I say it's only radio commentry so i'm in no real position to judge.

Can't believe how pleased I am to see Saints win tonight. Good to see you knock Warrington down a peg or two.

I'd counter by saying Saints scored two tries from avoidable errors.

It sounded a great game but just one that Saints always had control of bar that 8 minute spell. I've said in other threads though that i'd have loved to have seen Briers play in the game.

He could have been the difference but we'll never know.

He never has been in the past - whenever he has played against Saints he has invariably gone "missing in action"............

Tony Smith seems to have improved his game and his attitude though.

It's abit late in the day for Briers though.

think briers has gone off injured in every game he has played at kr, usualy when they are gettng beat.

Both teams scored the same amount of tries, goalkicking was the difference but it was a good game and both teams will move on and concentrate on next week, no biggie.
I'm curious about certain stats because tbh I thought Warrington's pack was on top for large parts of that game, in attacking positions bloody hopeless though

You must have seen a very different game to me because on the most part the game was played in your half. Certainly in the first half a vast majority of the match was played down in front of the Wire fans because I was stood at the back there and could hardly see a thing. The second half wasn't as bad because Saints had the ball and the game was only down this end during that Warrington blitz.

Overall I thought Saints pack was immense both with the ball and without it. Certainly in the first forty minutes I don't remember Warrington posing too great a threat except through bombs.

Although you only listened to it on the radio you're bang on in that assessment. Saints always seemed able to keep Wire at arms length.
