Jamie Lyon was always a centre, upuntil he signed for Manly

He is a world class centre and a ok stand off.

He played 6 for saints at Warrington in his 1st season and did ok.

I think he put kick up for KC to score the winner in last few secs of the game.

Lyon is an average stand off at best

Surely he can't be that average, he played 6 for Manly last year when they won the NRL, and the Manly fans loved him there.

I think it's fair to say that in the last two games Wheeler has been involved in, he's probably been in our top 3 players.

Wheeler has done a good solid job for us in the centre and he's done enough to warrant starting at centre on a weekly basis. He deserves his run in the first team and I trust Potter to get it right on when Wheeler should play and shouldn't in order to build up his belief.

I hope so, he's looked quite solid at centre and looks a real threat in attack with his footwork.

I really like the look of this kid and his footwork is superb! Centre with Meli will do him good cause Meli,for all his failings does have decent defense! Infact I think both wingers are good tacklers & now that Gardner has grown up in SL both make good defensive decisions on when to come in etc...

I like this kid & getting experience for 80mins then bring him inside at 6 when leon needs a rest or because long's out?... yeah i think that will serve the kid well! I do like Matty Smith though & Scott Moore, along with Eastmond so I hope them 4 can be the real super-star generation to come, along with our more established 20 sumthins!

Wheeler looks very good in attack and is massive threat near the other teams try line.

My only concern is his pace. He looks slow off the mark.

Should never have let Talau go

I don't know if you're being sarcy about Talau Sydney?... I belive Talau was one of our best players last year, but was that last season syndrome? Loads of players get an extra spring in their step when they know they're going because they want the fans to have a good memory of them! It worked for Talau. However, look at him at Salford... hasn't played as often as last year. Age possibly? I think Saints did well getting rid, but should've had a replacement lined up, especially when Scully decided that was it! This Soliola though is a player & can't wait for him to arrive next year!

Still not sure why we let Talau go to be honest, he proved he still has it look at him at salford now.... mind you, I never understood why we let Meninga go after 1 season, or Mc Cracken, or Lyon after a couple, yet we kept Paul O'Loughlin for 19 yrs when he was all dried up after his 17th yr with us.
