Anyone sits in my seat and there will be trouble. Unless it's the Aussie chick who used to sit next to me at Knowsley Road. God I miss her.

My season ticket's for block B in the northstand, which when I bought it I was told was in an "unallocated seating area", meaning I can sit where I like. Then I get it and it got printed on it Row R2, Seat 21. I never sit there because I like to get a bit more height and there's always spare seats in that block, but tonight it will be packed. Will I be forced into my allocated seat in an unallocated block? I think I've just answered my own question.

I'd be worried about that if I were you. Men in white coats could be knocking on your door soon. But I suppose that's what dealing with Saints can do to a person!
Good luck with the seating btw. Should have gone to the East Stand. No probs there. We just fight over our seats every home game as they are all unallocated!

Depends if they do what they do at the DW where they sell 10% fewer tickets than the ground actually holds or not?

Wrong again.
The 10%, is only for those stands with unallocated seating (North and South Stands at Wigan)
However for the very big games like WCC and Test matches those stands are are allocated seats so can be sold to capacity.

Bit aggressive with the dismissing there Rogues?
The North and South stands at Widnes are usually unallocated for Saints games, so I'm not sure what I've got wrong?

I was merely correcting the mistake in your post regarding the seating allocation at Wigan, sorry if it offended you.

The North stand is allocated seating at Widnes. I have my seat every match even though the stupid stewards tell people to sit where they want.

So the ticket numbers must be printed on each seat then. But you can definitely buy 'unallocated' tickets for the North Stand for most games.

The stewards tell people to sit where they want because plenty of unallocated tickets are available. During the Leeds game we found out that this is only for two blocks (the stewards didn't know so had to contact the head steward, as we had moved twice after sitting in allocated seats and them turning up), blocks A and B I think, but this may change from game to game.
Well oiled machine.

| Yeah we are in block B. The stewards have absolutely no clue what to do about anything. If there is some sort of emergency, we are all screwed!

| A number of Tickets are still available in the South and North Stands.
I was advised that I could purchase tickets from the ticket office at the ground should I want one. Poor show that this fixture is not sold out in my opinion. I am 100% sure that playing at Widnes is off putting to some, but to charge £25.00 for an adult South Stand ticket is not helping, its not rocket science is it, ticket pricing needs to be reduced....

It's pathetic marketing from the club really. I really hope we become more professional when we move into the new place. It was reported on Sky last weekend that it had sold out, Wigan reported on their website it was a sell out, Sporting Life did and all the while there were thousands of unsold tickets available.
Why the club isn't spamming the local radio stations for shoutouts that the game still has tickets available and to ring to secure them is beyond me.
And for the 4,000 that aren't bothering because it's all the way away in Widnes, grow some, get a job and get on a bus/car/taxi/helicopter/train/Wigan scooter and get yourself to the games you pathetic bunch of
Wembley wouldn't be too far away if that happened, nor would Manchester.

| Most marketers are seriously crap and sports marketers in particular either spend far too much time on fluffy unmeasurable stuff, "the brand" or waste money on expensive promotion.
They can get away with this in sport because of the unique brand loyalty in their business (saints fans won't start watching wigan even if you paid them to watch) and also because on field performance can always excuse their activity positively and negatively.
"marketing" budget and efforts is skewed towards the corporate side and not the fan base bacause that brings in the immediate big sales and praise.
If i was sports marketer thats what gets me my next role almost certainly in this country in football because they will be the best payers and access to bigger budgets.
This also leads to a distinct lack of fan marketing effort and spend in RL on long term and building of fanbase.
One of the best fan campaigns recently is the Wigan Big one - why all the SL clubs dont plug a one off game in the season is beyond me. And has anyone really innovated as well as in the Bullmania days and the late great Peter Deakin.
Instead too many clubs trade on the their hardcore fanbase to paper over the cracks in their finances by continually screw more money out of their loyalty.
That the well is running dry in the current climate aint a massive surprise.
