My advice is think of the most obvious and likely outcome and you wont be far wrong.

If its those two there won't being any half way street, it will either be a long term success or a complete failure. As there are no obvious available candidates from overseas its probably worth a short term risk.

As stated elsewhere, I couldn't care less if the coach was Australian, Kiwi, German, Japanese, Bolivian, Canadian or whatever (except French, obviously) . Being the best is what's important.
