No and yes.

Any logical analysis says Warrington will win all things being equal and I wouldn't care too much if we lost so long as it's not too heavy. The really interesting game will be back at your gaff in 2 weeks' time though and the pressure and expectation on your lot could make for a very different outcome...

I've heard he picked up a knock in the captains run and will have a late fitness test. If he fails it's Meli to Centre and Gardner back in on the Wing.

The consensus seems to be that Josh Jones, a natural centre, has played better at centre this season than Gary Wheeler, a natural stand off. The big surprise here is what exactly?

Jones has been great this season and one of the few bright points for a lot of folks, but Wheeler should be playing in the halves and not put in the centre where he sees no ball and has to defend against people naturally bigger than him. Just an opinion though.

I think Melvin Udall (aka Jack Nicholas) describes the above arguement best, when he is describing how he writes women, in as good as it gets.

in the position. How long did it take scrum half Wellens to become comfortable at FB?

Wheeler has had too much disruption due to injury. Happens to potential young stars. Cruel, but I can see him somewhere like Salford or Wakefield in a season or two unless Brown gives him a run at SO next season.

Respectfully disagree - I think you're either cut out to play at a different position or you're not. For me Wheeler's best games for saints have been at SO (he played well against Leeds at home at centre this year but the whole team played well that day), he clearly struggles defending at centre and with the lack of ball he gets there.

Our obsession with putting square pegs in round holes isn't doing our youngsters any favours in my opinion.

Wheeler is a natural #6 but still has the all tools to be a top quality centre - he has disappointed there more times than he's looked good this season and that shouldn't be the case.

He did OK - all credit to him. I'm hoping he gets a good run at #6 next season and that he [ifinally[/i starts delivering on his potential...

Wheeler looked a bit more like the Wheeler from the start of the season tonight and I'm glad for him. He executed some great tackles, showed his class footwork and but for a slip could have had a try for himself.
