Nah mate, on light duties at work, i'm one of those sad/stupid people who comes back too early, i hate being off sick.
Not 100% but enough to be of some use, i think i'd have chewed my own face off if i had another week off.

I would have agreed with you before our match at the HJ but now I'm not so sure. With Pryce back in action and Eastmond at fullback, and who knows who else fit and firing ... I'd say you've caught up to us at last.



It would be an interesting contest between us if we both played a match with a fully fit team each.

I'm just hoping for a good tough game, not to get anyone injured. Just a good few bruises.

Where do you get this Wire "arrogance" from. We have a good team at the moment and have had stick off most of you for lots of years when you've clearly been the better side. We have won more the past two years and most of the banter is just a bit of payback. Most Wire fans probably don't think we can win the grand final due to not being great in close games. Come on our board trying to belittle us and you're gonna get stick back. We have a good team at the moment and have come along way in the past two years. We're good now after years of medicoruty and some of you have a problem dealing with it for some reason. We have a good youth system in place, players like Chris Hill and Waterhouse want to come to us now, our own stadium, a great coach and in Simon Moran we have a backer who will pretty much spend whatever it takes for us to be successful if needed. We don't have the recent history that Saints and Wigan have, we hopefully have a lot to look forward to in the future. To join together in an a'rse kissing contest with your fiercest rivals is both cringeworthy and lame. Accept that we're a decent setup now instead of being bitter about it and moaning.

I'm ashamed to admit that I have, on occasion, supported Wigan in WCC games. I have a whole new level of antipathy towards the cons having travelled over there watching GB/England a couple of times.

I would prefer to beat either team at full strength so there are no excuses.

For years Saints have been critisised for the same + other things totally unrelated to the game on the pitch. No doubt if you win the GF, the attendance watchers will come out and point out that you do not get the best attendances and try to use that as a means of getting at you.

It's sport it comes with the tribalism.

Wigan just play a style of RL which obviously works for them but is frankly boring and shouldnt be encouraged.

I want to see attacking flair not rugged defence, gamesmanship and high punts.

Also Wigan not going back to wembley is a bonus.

I don't reckon there's another club in SL that move the ball wide with as mouch precision os the pies.

Quite suprised how split this has been, a few years ago it would be 100% Wire win.

Funny that, 2nd top point scorers last season and our winger was man of steel, which tells me, we must move the ball about quite a lot. Also the lad that played half back for us last season was young player of the year.

DIdn't he only play about half at half-back? Thought the majoirty were at fullback?

Considering the majority of our tries are out wide, i would be inclined to disagree.

But we also had Darrell Goulding as joint second top try scorer or do you think he scored all his tries from bombs?

You really do need to pay more attention to the tries Wigan score.

We've seen some wonderful tries from Sam, out of sheer individual brilliance. The moves we have may be structured, but when they work and we link up the tries can be brilliant. Have a look at the tries we scored in the win against Hull KR in May - the ones right at the end were fantastic.

Leeds have certainly had 'attacking flair' this season - yet I've not seen any fans from any club saying that they want it copied at their club, as it simply isn't as effective.

And on further analysis you may be right, but sporties accused them of playing boring rugby, which isn't true. I like to criticise the Pies as much as the next man, but that's well wide of the mark.

If it was just the case of a league game, you'd get 100% support for Wire from us, I'm sure.

I have been watching Saints for well over 40 years, have been through the period of Goon dominance, and never, ever thought I would want Wigan to win any game, especially a cup game, ever ever.......however, living in Warrington and having to listen to all the knuckle draggers bang on about how great they are, best RL team ever, having to build a new trophy cabinet, Saints are finished etc etc etc has changed my opinion for this one.

They need bringing back down to earth with a very big bang.
