I thought everything was done and dusted regarding the new stadium. Just noticed on the club website that "we are currently going through the tender process."
Thought this was all sorted.

Our chairman aint no fool. A less "diguised" translation could be "No one is building antthing anymore and developers are begging for work now so we are making them knock a few quid off their quotes!"

Its great news. Just wish it was 2011 now. Cant wait!!!!

Taylor Woodrow still want KR for £1.5M in the middle of the worst housing price deflation for 50+ yaers. Unfortunately I think not.

They signed a contract, it matters little if they want out, they are contracted. Also they think long term, the houses to be built there will only be up around 2012 when the recession will be a memory.

Nothing to update, there has been no change to the site. On the actual area where saints stadium will be, there are still warehouses standing. The only progress anywhere near the site was the building of the bridge over the canal, ironically by a Wigan company.

The warehouses will be knocked down by the firm that get's the building contract, at least thats how I read it.
So it should all kick off turn of the year.

It looks like leighs ground but seats in every stand but it would be nice if celtic took a game there next year as they have said there taking one to near/around that part of wales.

It says there are six firms who have submitted bids to build the stad. Capacity, Start date, completion date & cost etc. No pics though!

What's this I've heard that Saints have to be out of KR by Oct 2010? The new ground wont be ready by then. Where we gonna play in the first part of 2011 season?

this was the original plan, but i doubt it'll become reality. The developers who are buying KR have had money toubles and will have sites empty all over the country so will be in no mad rush to start building there
