Watch it again, and I'm sure that Grix the try scorer, is in front of the player who kicked the ball (Obst?)

| What we can't lose sight of in all this is that Wakefield thoroughly deserved their win. Brough marshalled the team around well and I thought Grix mas magnificent once he seemed to move infield. Christ, even Bibey looks like a RL player now*
*I may have gone over the top with that last line.

Not watched on tv yet but from seeing it on big screen I couldn't see anything wrong with it.
We was beat fair and square by the better team.

Could be wrong here,so apologies if i am.
Grix was in front of Obst when it was kicked, but when Grix picked up the ball Obst had already moved in front of him -- hasnt Obst then put everyone on side?

There is no way it doesn't touch his arms either. But I would have given it just to punish the stupidity of the Saints players. Grix wasn't the closest and two Saints players just stood there counting the blades of grass on the floor whilst he picked it up and scored. One of the cumb nunts even stepped over the ball to avoid kicking it.

I bet fans of other clubs would hate to be in the position we are.
We may or may not win some silverware this season, too early to tell yet but we are one of the few clubs that is still in a pretty good position to claim any of 3 pieces so not too bad really. We were never going to be on top forever I just think some fans struggle to accept that.

We might not win any silverware this year but how can that be Potters fault?
Our recruitment policy is not down to potter. I feel we paying the price for letting players go and not bringing any in.
Our squad has no real depth.
Don't forget even DA failed to win the grand final with a much better squad.
No matter who is in charge I don't think they could do much better.

It should have been a penalty to Saints.

I havent seen the game on TV yet but I was screaming for that at the game - did the knuckleheads in the commentary box pick that up - why should an experienced ref like Ganson not notice that - the to$$er from over the water wouldnt notice a turd in a bath

Leeds should finish top. You've to play us at home the week after a possible Challenge Cup Final and you have no further distractions.

Neither have Saints tbh. Yesterday's performance was a carbon copy of alot of our games this year which we've either won against poor opposition of we've struggled when teams have played well e.g. Hull KR at home.
I think we've put in five good performances all season - Cas home and away, Wire last week, Leeds home and away.

| Last night was another example of the increasing intensity in Super League. In the past we would have won that with our final twenty minute spurt (as we did, IIRC, last year when we stole this game from Wakefield with two tries in the last ten mintues or so). Wakefield capitalised on two errors in the first half to score. They didn't really look like they were going to beat our line without the helping hand we gave them. The missed conversions did us but that's the game now. Increased intensity, you can't switch off even for home games anymore and with Harlequins RL, Wigoon, Huddersfield (twice) and Rovers away (all winnable and loseable games) coming up we've got perhaps the most challenging and exciting closing third of the regular season since before Anderson came. We should be able to keep hold of second place as I think our run-in is likely to produce a couple more defeats.

I wouldn't say Superleague is increasing in intensity. This season, the game has slowed right down, open play and end to end rugby is confined to a few games now.
We are getting beat now by teams who can slow the game down and have a good kicking game. All the teams outside of Leeds and Saints are playing the same style of rugby, can imagine 5th to 10th only having 2 points difference between them.
Its though skill has been nullifyed and substituted by a speculative kicking game, they say its levelling off of the salary cap. I don't think it is, I think the officiating of the game means there is more time to defend giving more of an advantage to your "average" team.
