Has Manu's signing being announced yet? The Rhinos were also interested in getting him for 2013 but it's all gone quiet. Is he still going to Saints or have your plans changed?

I've heard Manu has already signed his contract and picked out his house and the NZ prop we are chasing is Ukuma Ta'ai but now looks unlikely to happen as a few NRL clubs are also in for him.

I cant really say Im overly overjoyed at the signing of Manu to be honest. 32 years old by the time he's finished his contract he will be 35 ish. Andrew Dixon really should have been given another contract and be given the chance to cement a place in the first team. We are doing what Wigan did a few years back and I cant say im impressed!

Over the hill no way Manu is one of the best backrowers in the league I have him over any saints forward apart from sia and tp the guy is class

He's twice his age too. No doubt just ready to have more injuries than game time, just as other over the hill recruits do. 'The hill', incidentally, is a euphemism for 30 years old.

I would of kept him even though he is rather inconsistent. Interesting he wouldnt sign a 3 year deal with us and then signed a 2 with yourselfs. £££ possibly. On his day you have a great player, he's not had many injuries either. So hopefully he won't start to get them any time soon for you.

The only issue is his age, but a 2 year contract is just about right. A good bit of business by Saints, and the inexorable march towards an awesome, old, overseas pack and mediocre, young, domestic backline continues apace. I wonder what style of play we'll be aiming for next season...

Will provide the pack with the type of player we need. Roby and Lomax should be tearing through defences next year off the back of some of his offloads.
