| If I was a Wire fan this morning I'd be cursing "Kyle bl**dy Eastmond"
It seems unfair to to single a player out as man of the match when so many forward put in a big effort but quiet simply the reason we won and they didn't was Kyle.
The try was superb, his kicking in general play was excellent and the two touchline conversions in those condition were killers, especially the second one that put the lead back to eight points.

There's one thing for sure - they won't be queuing up to buy Myler will they!

| When he kicked the 2nd one off the touchline, I clearly seen Richie Myler in his pocket!
If Myler is worth 300k
Eastmond in the 1st £1million RL player
Just need him to sign a 10 yr contract

I don't know he kicks that often in general play I thought at one stage it was Rugger Onion when they had the ball. Every set was finished with a big high kick towards Gardner, did they not have a second game plan?
Oxford, have you seen the credentials of our two new directors?

Correct. I think of few of us said this in relation to Potter. At Catalans he helped turn Bosc into a Super League quality half back and developed his kicking game and it seems that now we're getting some results with Eastmond. His touchline conversions though were brilliant and won me some money too

| Eastmond is a freak talent. If he was Australian they'd be bigging the guy up massively like they do with the likes of Inglis and Slater.
He's still got to develop parts of his game, but his direct running, his passing ability and kicking game is top notch. He was outstanding last night and he seems to have that big game ability which class players have.

| If only the country could produce some outside backs with similar freakish talents to our halfs and forwards like Eastmond, Tomkins and Burgess we could well be onto a winner!
Eastmond is simply sensational. He loves the wet weather doesn't he!

Kudos to Gardner for that hit on Mathers though.

| Myler is over rated and over hyped. And cost too much.
Bit like the Wolves in general then............

The heartening thing for me is that both Eastmond and Tomkins seem to be improving apace - not indicative of one season wonders who then struggle when people are keeping a close eye on them.
They could be a truly scary partnership for England / GB.

From what i've seen Harrison isn't in the league of a freakish player like Sam Burgess and Myler is still developing his game and isn't producing the displays that Tomkins or Eastmond are.
Nothing against the 2 of them, they're both fine young players but the 3 I mentioned are playing at a level above them.

I've not had much chance to watch Eastmond so far this season but having seen every minute of every game Tomkins has played I can definetly say he's improving his alround game. His kicking game and passing game has come on a bundle and he's playing more as an out and out halfback for the team rather then as an individual talent.
He's still got that magic moment in him though as he proved at Wire when he had possibly his poorest game in a Wigan jersey yet won us the game with a sublime individual piece of skill.
Like you say it's a scary prospect long term how good those 2 lads can become for England.

| Eastmond is now firmly top of the food chain when it comes to young british halfback talent. He can do everything Tomkins does and then some. But his kicking game is fantastic and hes a matchwinner to boot.

| Just like to say Jammer had morley in his back pocket last night. Gardner was taken in the air twice by Riley and silverwood ruled in their favour.Only mistake he did was the Gidley one, besides that, excellent performance.

This debate will go on for the next 10 years plus at the end of the day and nobody will ever really win it.
Sam added a real creative spark to his game this year and is turning into a complete halfback. Is he better then Eastmond? It's very tough to say but I certainly wouldn't say he's any less of a player.
I'm just thankful they're both English.

Yeah you are completely spot on as are many of your posts. Eastmond and Tomkins are shoulders above Myler at the moment as they can both step up and take control and have a wonderful kicking game, where as Myler needs to take more control (when Briers it out) but hasn't done.

Those two are the best two forwards in SL. If Jammers stays in SL and doesn't defect to the NRL I expect to see them two battle it out.

| Kyle played very well. Played Myler off the pitch and scored a fantastic try, however i thought Graham was once again our best player on the night. Gardner and Dean were great defensively and going forward as well.
