There is no way Saints should be offering Eastmond a big wage yet. He hasn't proven himself worthy of a starting spot week in week out yet, yet alone a whopping increase in wage.

If Eastmond does go to Union (which is a disaster for RL if he does) Saints must surely be signing someone to fill the gap left by Eastmond and Long. Does this make it more like Danny Brough is coming to you lot? Especially since Wakey have just signed Jeffries again.

as for a 7 we have, ellis, wilkin, roby, moore can all do a job there and smith back for 2011

I havent really seen Ellis play so cant really comment, but moving either Wilkin or Roby will have a big impact on other areas of the team. Both are great to fill in but probably not a long term option IMO. I wouldn't be too happy if Leeds were to get rid of Burrow or McGuire, not sign a replacement, and simply move Sinfield into the halves for example.
As for Moore, im assuming he's Cunninghams long term replacement.
I thought Smith had signed for Salford, but if its just a loan then I suppose hes an option, but would still leave you lot short of a halfback for a whole season, which isnt great.
Plus its looked for all the world like over the last season or so that Eastmond was being groomed to be Long's replacement, if not or if Ellis is the option then why play Eastmond instead of Ellis?
