Teams that have played their entire history in the top flight - Warrington,....er there isn't anybody else (including saints!)

The Saints hoodoo has really got to me over the past couple of years.
To beat Saints was one of my three targets for the season, with the other two being getting to Wembley and Old Trafford.

Taking the win at face value it is two points, but to us fans it was far more than that.

To the team in terms of confidence and belief the win could be unmeasurable.
We had beaten every team in the past two season with the exception of Saints and I am sure to our players this was in the back of their minds, knowing that no matter how well they did there was a team we couldn't beat.

Thats the next target

Although it is only 2 points this win will give us lots of confidence that will benefit us next time we play you in a more important game.

Just for sayings sake ..... when were we not in the "top flight" ?

the fact the matter is that for so long we (Wire) have never been able to beat Saints........there have been so many "nearly" matches and (as we all have been) to be on the end of last gasp wins by drop-goals, bombs and so forth is absolutely gutting.....so arguably to win the other night has to be an achievement and permit some goading (politely and in good jest of course)

at the end of the day, as Brian McDermott himself once said it (really) is only two points; fans pay good money to have high emotions, players get paid only for the two points each game

We were demoted once, somewhere around 1914 or something. It was decades ago anyway. And just the once. But Warrington are the only team not to have been demoted at all. It is their one claim to fame!

Not yet but only because they have been preparing the foundations. I believe something about 'pouring' should be happening next - concrete doofas or something. I'm no construction worker so I haven't got a clue! BARR has stated that the steel frame should be started within the next couple of weeks. It will be exciting for us Saints fans to finally see our stadium start to grow!

Haha, I did my time on the train back from Widnes, when I was the only guy I could see (except from a couple of St. George-Illawara fans) with a Saints top on. Not particularly pleasant xD It didn't really bother me though, all in good spirits and I knew it would be coming soon. Now it's just waiting for you to win the league really, I suspect the gloating might not go away so easily then!

Much ado about nothing. I can whole heartedly promise you I'm not bothered we didn't beat you at KR (in the Superleague era I might add) and I'm not bothered we beat you on Friday. I WILL be bothered if we beat you in the Challenge Cup or the playoffs however.

What's done is done, now we can ALL just move on.

As I said to a Wolves fan on Sunday "You still haven't beaten them in St Helens though have you?"

As the new Saints ground is being built in a similar style to the HJ, it may well look like a slightly larger lego set. You will also find that your lego set is quite cheap and easy to maintain compared to KR, and it will give you a lot of of new income streams.

like your ikea stadium, you can, if required raise funds against such a tangable asset. However i think you know this already.
