I think Wilkin is a shoulder injury that could be out for some weeks. Maybe till end of season, so our emergency stand in is gone.

It's a bad situation and there is no way out of it. Lance will be available come the playoffs, but in terms of an organiser that's it we are out of players.

We'd need a short term loan, but whether we have the space is one thing, also is there not a time limit for getting in last minute options, to stop the Andrew Johns scenario that Warrington used some years ago.

Lance and Wheeler are probably the only feasible combination outside of a loan. Assuming they both make it to the playoffs

I would be over moon if you took Gale on loan. Awful awful half back. It's just my opinion but he's someone who has a bit of talent, but thinks he is Cooper Cronk. Then tries the big play when its not on and cocks it up spectaculary. Would much rather see our up and coming half back Adam Brook play for us for rest of season.

Brett Kearney could do a job though. Not great defensively, but has that bit of class about him. In a good team I think he would be superb for you.

I think the fact the physio clamped his hands around it the moment he reached him says it all. File under very bad. Where the kicking game comes from I have no idea, we're seriously going to struggle with game management I'd say. Looking forward to seeing McDonnell though.

With those halves I wouldn't even try to move the ball. One out runs all day long and try to score from kicks.

Brown has an excellent record at bringing through youth players, if he thinks Charnock isn't ready then he isn't ready.

I can see it now, Gary Wheeler, the injury prone scapegoat will lead us to a grand final victory in 2014 and forever be a saints legend.

It takes a big character with plenty of self belief to play half back at a club like Saints. Brown will be despèrate for that type of character to emerge from the ruins so to speak and demand the chance to prove themselves. If Charnock can't grab Brown's attention right now then he's simply not ready because if he can't get Brown's attention, he certainly won't be strong enough to guide 12 other more experienced, first team regulars around the pitch.

Believe me, i've heard alot of stories about charnock. He is most certainly NOT the guy to lead us forward.
