Have to credit Shentons defence today. I thought it was brilliant as well as lomax's, Saints look absolutely nackered around the 60 minute Mark when Wigan started to cut us up here and there but regained some life from somewhere when they dropped the ball over our line. Don't see what people aren't like about foster... He scores tries, he kicks goals and he does his job in defence that's what you ask of a winger.

Why are so many mentioning Broughton? There is no chance of us signing him is there?

I don't think we are far off this season. A fullback and a couple of squad players for depth and we'd be right up there in the hunt for trophies. Next season is a big unknown. Being without Jammer and potentially Pryce could, if the new signings aren't big successes, leave us in mid table. Hohaia is a big step down from Pryce and Laffranchi from Jammer.

Academy and super league are totally different.

PACE AT FULLBACK AND TEAMS WILL FIND IT HARDER TO PIN US BACK IN OUR OWN 22. ONCE WE ARE ON THEE FRONT FOOT FROM THE KICK RETURN THE FORWARDS CAN BUILD A PLATFORM FOR THE BACKS TO ATTACK.

The problem tho my loved one, we still can't beat a top team. We've not beat Wigan, Warrington of hudds yet.

At the end of the day, we was not good enough again.

If we bring another winger in, such as Broughton, we could always use Makinson at Full Back. He is secure under the bomb, has terrific defence and bags of pace. He played Centre originally so must have decent hands and a decent brain on him.

Why? Jammer is an enormous part of our team. Lane Hohaia is having a terrible time in the NRL, everytime I read an match report about him it lists his errors during the game.

Absolutely right. We need to be switched on for the full 80 and bring our A game. But we don't, so we lose to teams who exploit our lapses in ball control, concentration and defence. Invariably, those teams are the teams who are higher up in the league and that is why they are higher up in the league.

A good team on their game would have put points on the board in the first half today. We was camped on thier line for about 30 mins in the first half.

And even tho the pies was good in defence, our attack asked no questions and we didn't look like scoring.

Jammer hasn't been the player this season that he has been in previous seasons. His passion and endurance are the factors we are most going to miss about him but we will adapt. As for Lance, do you think Sale (or Bath or wherever it is he is going) fans would be encouraged by Kyle Eastmond for most of this season? I doubt it. You cannot judge a player on one season.

And in any case, there is a lot of knee jerking going on around here.

Who in all honesty expected us to beat Wigan today? I know I didn't. Given our crazy season and ongoing injuries with the disruption that causes I thought we put in a great effort but just came up short. That does for me.

Personally, I'm glad we aren't going to Wembley. Our team needs the weekend off. There is always next year.

I'm far more concerned about Friday and how the hell we are going to field a team to match Hudds.

Jammer hasn't been the same player this year but I know for a fact he's playing most weeks with various injuries and one in particular that he can't shake off but he's put his hand up every week.

I though jammer was poor today tho, he worked hard but he was going down before he was touched today with looked awful.

Thought Johnny Lomax caused us loads of problems today, fortunately our defence was up to most of it, other than that i think we coped with most of what you threw at us , although saying that Joel Tomkins pass to Carmont kept you in the game when if he had fallen over it would have been 22-2 with a kick to come... you then took your chances and almost gave me a heart attack
