| I'll still reserve judgment if he's got better when I'm back but I can't imagine him doing hard yards because he can't get back to do them. He usually waits until play comes to him.
Could that be classed off side ?
I like I've said, I appreciate he was injured and had no pre season, I also know for a fact he came to the club massively overweight (not very professional) but I'm willing to give him another few weeks and if he's not fit by then and going on all cylinders then he shouldn't be a pro rugby player as 5 month is certainly long enough to get fit.
I think posters on here give him a easy ride due to him being the smiling likeable Samoan. I don't think he's been much better than the likes of Lms, walker and co that have come in for critisim.
My biggest problem tho with Mose and one I just couldn't accept if I was his coach or a fellow prop, is the not getting back for the hard yards. Kyle Amor was doing 1st and 4th drive getting out our half when Mose was still walking back! That's not helping team mates. No way would Brian McDermott or Wane stand for that. They are team coaches that have this "die for your team mate" mentality.

Sorry, but you aren't. YOu get no sense of positioning from the TV. All depends on which camera angle they use at a given time.
I'm not discussing this with you of all people because you're just trolling.
Mose had a great game. That's all there is to it.

That's true. I've watched games live and thought certain players played really good, then when watched the game back on tv and had a different opinion.
It's Defo easier to see how a team and players play like. Take Walsh for instance who I watch very closely, you can see him stood behind the line in attack pointing and telling players where to run, where to stand etc which IMO is massive part of the game and you don't see that on tv. It's things like that from Walsh is what we needed and it's hard to see on tv. Lee briers was another like that, he directed everything which is just as important as the killer pass for a try but you don't see all the pointing and moving of players on tv.
So I totally and utterly agree.

| 100m for a prop is a good return. 155m is a very strong attacking performance however Rogues wants to dress it up.
Mose is still not at his optimum form but over the last 2 or 3 weeks I've seen an improved player. He was our best forward in a dismal display at magic and once again on Friday.
He's no longer as much a liability in defence that he was on his debut and he's finally showing us what we bought him for.

No I'm not, it's my opinion.
He had a decent game yes. a great game no.
As for positioning the worst place to get a decent view of what's going on is behind the posts. You have no idea of the distance between the attack and defence.
You haven't answered my questions have you.

I remember how they spent the whole of the off season telling us how Walsh would never attack the line. It's been terrible for us so far

He's certainly better player when he mixes it and takes the line on. Joey Johns said he's s great player when he takes the line on but doesn't do it enough.
He's done it more than I expected him to but didn't get tackled in the first 3 games but was still on fire. Great little player.

| I think Rogues intervention is proof enough that he did a good job.
If it had been Graham posting stats of 155m we would not be saying, ah yes but he took the drives from the kickoff.
I'd put money on the fact that if Mose had not started with his improved attitude we would not have won by the margin we did.

When he does do it, it tends to be with great effect. I'd much rather have a clever 7 than one who gets bashed up all the time!
I loved his cheeky drop goal at the end of the match on Friday. I'm sure he was extracting the urine by doing that, probably reminding Brough of how to kick one properly!

I think it had a good deal of symbology in it, not only directed towards brough, but also towards the knockers over the last week. After losing 41-24, winning 41-22 has a certain symmetry to it!

I think the best halves can mix it. It makes them unpredictable. If a halfback is pass pass pass then teams more or less guess he will pass but when they mix it up and dummy and go a few times (the right time) then they usually coast thru.
I'm not saying he should run lots if times but few times a game. The best halves can do the lot and I'm 100% certain Walsh can mix it up.
Eric Hughes once told me to not take the ball in at all during the first 15/20 mins of the game ( unless it's wide open) and just keep laying balls on etc then when the team gets it in there mind your just going to pass, a dummy and go and you'll cut thru them like a hot knife thru butter and he was spot on.

You'll not get rid of Rogues that easily, St Helens is his second town after spending many, many years in Pocket Nook.

I'm not that daft. You weren't offering an opinion. You were being deliberately provocative, looking for a reaction. I'm surprised the Mods let you get away with it.
Everyone could see that he played well and it was by far his best performance. Everyone at the ground knew it, the people watching SKY knew it and the entire commentary/pundit panel knew it. The only person who has suggested it wasn't much different to normal is you, and that is because you are a silly old fool with presumably a dull life and you get your kicks out of Saints forums. I feel sorry for you.

| Having finally watched the game last night, I can't say for sure how quickly Mose was getting back into the line etc due to the limited camera span and I FF through the half/full time analysis.
I can say that he was making significant yards per carry, genuinely pushing them back in contact and putting his hand up for work. Ask the Hudds forwards (who were near full strength, I think) who was causing the most problems and they'd have said Robe and Masoe.
That's a Hudds pack that shalacked Wigan and drew with Leeds early in the season, so it just goes to show how on different weeks team can perform totally differently.

There was reference by someone - Nathan Brown I think - in comments following the Warrington debacle at Etihad about overseas players and their commitment, and also Paul Wellens made (positive) reference to Soliola's attitude as an overseas player in the matchday programme last week so it is possible that our new recruits haven't fully appreciated the nuances of English rugby league.
