The Quins - Wire game is still on the Friday for obvious reasons which means Saints will know exactly what they need to do to try and secure second spot and a home match for the play-offs. You can tell the football season has kicked off again as RL speccies have once again been kicked into touch. No pun intended!

I know its hard on people who have made plans, but we have known for years this was a possible situation especially at the end of the season with sky schedules, so we should be used to it by now. He who pays the piper.....

We all know the situation with sky moving games but it don't make it right!

This suites me to be moved to Saturday but it's wrong, people have to make plans, book night off work, try and get baby sitters.

I read some guy on here is a saints fan but lives pretty far and needs to make plans like travel, hotel etc.

IMO the rfl and sky need to get there heads together and come up with something where fans have more notice.

It should've been a nailed-on SKY game from day one because of it's historical connotations, IMO.

That would suit me as I've got a bet on from the start of the season on HKR (3/1) and Cas (4/1) making the top 8 playoffs. Wish I'd done it as a double now!

Cas can be quite stiff opposition so there's not much chance of us getting anything like that......if we dont get a good start or they score a couple early on we've not much to play for.

I can't go as I made arrangements around the Friday. Absolutely gutted, it isn't on really.

Well, I prefer this. My other brother is up, so he can drive me, and I can have a few jars in the Bull, and one last warm badly poured league pint.

The downside is having to amuse my little sister with the prospect of rugby for the day, but screw it. Its not up to her.

Um. If we finish third then our first playoff game will be against Wire at the HJ. It would then depend on who won and lost as to who we played where although I read somewhere that at that point we would get a home game. Not necessarily against the Wolves though.

Ah, well if this is the case I'm not as bothered. Of all the games to miss, I was on the verge of selling my gig ticket just to attend. There are no historical connotations to be missed out on then, I'll still be joining the mass pitch invasion on the LAST game at Knowsley Road to obtain my lump of turf

If we finish 2nd we will play Wire at KR,if we finish 3rd we will play Wire at the HJ.We could play them again 2 weeks later,at KR if we win the first one or HJ if we lose the first one.

On a more serious note ...

The more I think about this playoff thing, the more of a mare it becomes.

We could lose to one of Leeds, Wire or Wigan in our final very last game at KR. Feck.

Hi there. I'm coming from Sheffield for the Cas game and stupidly didn't check if I could get back home before booking my ticket. It seems I can't. Looking round for a hotel, I found the ParkView Hotel and Guest House on Prescot Road. I read the reviews and there were 3 really good ones and 1 really bad one. The thing that struck me was that they apparently have disabled facilities and since I'm disabled myself, this would be an advantage to me. I wondered if anyone knew the place and could tell me what it's like? Cheers.
