It seems to me they made a LOT of this so called injury and only AFTER the player got a caution only announced that he hadn't broken anything and would be fit for the weekend.

To me that is a terrible way of trying to force a longer ban on a player for a very (in the context of the game and other games) minor incident.

it travelled all of 6" and he had the ball in the same hand at the time , the guy went down like a sack of sh*t , best acting Ive seen in years . he may have sustained a broken eye socket in the match but its hard to see how that bitch slap could have done it in that incident.

It is nothing to do with how far his hand travelled, striking an opponent doesn't have a distance threshold.

I understand Wakefield informed both the RFL and Saints late on Monday evening that there was no lasting damage to Stosic and that he would not miss any games or training.

Perhaps this is why there was no punishment??
