To be fair to Roy Haggerty, Saints were rubbish. An empty shell of a team playing in a ground with zero atmosphere. The days of Saints being a top team in a cauldron-type atmosphere are long gone.

Wakefield played just fine and beat a rubbish uninspiring Saints side.

I can keep repeating how poor Saints are for as long as Roy wants. I'm fine with that. Wakefield fans enjoy their occasional triumphs because we know our limitations. I can't help thinking that Saints haven't been a good side, a fearsome side, since they left Knowsley Road. That place used to make the hairs stand up on the players' necks, and supporters. Not anymore. It's no surprise that the players don't feel quite as inspired as they once did.

Saints are garbage that's why Wakey won the game simple as Wakey are not a good side just as they were not a good side when they beat Saints at Oakwell. Hay ho Saints have had some good sides just as Wakey have but eventually the tide turns and it looks like it has turned for Saints just as it looks like its turning for Wakey. Saints on a downer and Wakey on the up who the hell scripted that one its not allowed Wakey going to Saints and coming away with a win.

The so called 'top clubs' will still win all the trophies this year. The level of the competition is deteriorating year on year as the game is being stifled by small mindedness. I would dearly love the standard of the game to improve so that all teams are equal and playing at a higher standard (like the NRL) but sadly RL in this country is looking into the abyss.

Can you explain how Wakefield are favourites to lose their SL status ? Surely the only way that can happen is to be relegated? This means finishing in the bottom half of the middle 8's and losing the million pound game ? Unless you're insinuating that the ground will get Wakefield kicked out of SL ?

Imo they will end up in the million pound game with Hull KR. Imo Hull KR will beat Wakey

So we've gone from certain relegation to only finishing below Saints in less than 5 posts.

Stuff all this Wakey Saints rubbish, the thing that would worry me is not what Wakey are doing but what's gonna turn around Saints.
If they don't start pullin up a few trees, I can see Cunningham gone by the end of March.
They've got Hull and Cats away and Wire at home for their next 3 games, so they could be in some right sh11e by the back end, there's no Wakey or HKR to be obnoxiously arrogant about, this month is defining for the current status quo at St Helens.

ps, I broke my ankle on the crumbling terraces of Knowsley rd, and that wasn't very long ago at all, Belle Vue is nothin like the sh11hole that was.

Mate, I didn't go as couldn't. I've not watched it back on sky apart from post match. I swear on my kids lives I'm not bothered one little bit. It's one game, still lots of rugby to play.

That's why we did something about the dump we used to have.

Saints weren't very good at all but only in attack and defence, ball handing and kicking. Wakey weren't brilliant but they looked keener in the first half which got them a lead. Second half Saints (again) left themselves too much to do and Wakey won by being the better team.

Also not sure you can compare this result with the sixty plus against the pie gobblers. They played well that day admittedly against lesser opposition. Here they've beaten a good side that couldn't perform.

About Cunningham: I haven't really complained about his tactics or how the players implement what he wants but we are certainly not playing with flair and if his philosophy is to be controlled and tight and defensive, we can't do that either. Am keen to discover what his style is....

From an away fan who attended your ground this year, I have to say it is a dumb, appalling toilets, no cover for away fans and poor views, easily the worst in SL.
