A LOT depends on what is being said in contract negotiations and the general attitude of the player over them. Given that Jones was a regular for a considerable period (and turned in some very strong performances for his age) my guess is this has nothing to do with form or ability.

He's normally a centre or 2nd rower. He may play centre to cover Dawson who would move to wing/full back. Or he may just be there for a bit more experience being part of the squad,etc.

That aside, Hohaia has been poor at fb, why did he let swift run 20m to miss the ball for the no try? Swift ... Well that attempt was meli-esque. Dawson is a weak link in defence, missed 3 and yet to win a collision. Burns had a half to forget ame Wilkin is back to usual form. Roby is a concern, and flanagan has had 0 impact, as did Mose. We need to sort out our kicking game, we've been charged down 3 times two weeks - not good enough.

Thompson has looked lively, and Makinson took his try well. That's about the only positive.
