Or can't get us out our 20 meter zone which is pretty common now.

| Quote ="Magic Superbeetle"Walsh(1st reciever) to lomax(3rd pivot) requires a middle man (so far this season it's usually been hohaia) - as st.pete says, getting Walsh into positions where the money ball is on is our best chance this week imo, rather than long sweeping across field moves (were far too disjointed at the moment, and missing far too many)
Walsh has shown he can exploit space, so second pivot is a great place to have him (assuming someone can provide him with clean, quick ball throughout the game), as well as control a game from there - there's going to be a lot on his shoulders tomorrow, but I suppose that's what we brought him in for...'" you're essentially saying you want him to play stand off, which would just be moving a problem from 6 to 7.

| I thought Wello had a fine game. Incidentally, Walsh looked pretty good at 1st receiver as well.

| I'm not sure what we can do with Wello. He did look fine tonight. But that's because he was at FB.
It will be an issue when he has to go back to the pack as we will have to sacrifice someone in the pack for the attitude.

| I do concede Walsh didn't need to play any further out today. I was a little less impressed with hohaia tonight then I have been so far this season - but hopefully the consistency of the partnership will help bring that back up.
I also concede when I said a few weeks ago wellens should get another contract I was right

We have better back rowers than Wello, but he's the only leader we've got and has to start IMO.

Play him at loose and give him a FB supporting role in attack with the occasional line running duties and to hold the middle in defence? That leaves Lomax to operate in a pivot role, which is what he does best, further out to threaten the edges.

I shall bow to your greater knowledge on that one. I like the guy. It's just how you square that circle.

I agree, I don't think there's a particular perfect role that we can fit him in to. Unfortunately, with the team as it is, he has to play at the moment and I think that may be the best compromise. The only issue is it lightens up our pack and if Wilkin also plays at second row we may get bullied up front.

Again, this.
for me, right now it's a straight choice between Wilkin and wellens if/when wellens plays in the back row, and given we need wellens in the team right now, Wilkin can either be interchanged with him, or sits out for a few weeks. I'm struggling at the moment with Wilkin at the moment, his defensive read led to the first Huddersfield try, and he's consistently amongst the top tackles missed - he was in great form up until Wakefield where he got banned, and is starting to make some great breaks though

| I think we can start Wilkin on the bench and bring him on for Wellens after 20 mins. I think it's important that Wellens is on at the start of each half to make sure we start at the right pace and intensity.

| I reckon Wello needs to play at least 60 mins in every game to keep the team focused, if somehow we can get Wello operating at full back when defending and Lomax at full back when attacking that might be worth a try. That would mean Jones,Lomax and Wello playing multi roles.
For me Wilkin is always in the starting 13, he's an intelligent all rounder who can take some pressure off the half backs. He's always up at the top end of the tacklers so he will miss a few in the stats, he is also one of our best players in the team for clean breaks and try assists, besides scoring a few himself.
Roby, Wilkin and Wello are the first names on my team sheet.

I think Walsh might muscle into my top three
