My only negative for tonight is the same as last week, we lose momentum when Amor and walmsley go off. We do need to sort this out. I just hope Mose will be the solution.
The defence has improved 100% from last week.

I thought all our ex players, particularly TP and Franny didn't want to know. They clearly weren't up for playing against us, still probably feeling part of the family.

| Belting win that. Really played well for 80mins I think, even when Amor and Walmsley went off...we turned them round and that ultimately told in the end.
Amor was sensational. He has been superb in his first three games

| It was all about the D. We got sucked into a fowards battle on the opening 15 mins of the 2nd hald and handled it well.

| I think tonight shows the difference of a team that's been thrown together and and team that's grown together.
We might not see the best of Salford until mid season if they actually do gel.

He did just before sia took that loose pass for our break away try.
Meli only had 1 eye and didn't drop one single ball so noble has improved him as a player.

| I noticed tonight that Lance often jumped into first receiver and passed the ball onto Walsh. This gave Walsh more time and space to work with and with second rows and centres running off him he often caused confusion out wide.

| What was going on with Percy tonight. I could not tell whether he was having a stormer or a mare, from the commentary.

Had a good game in all, could of done better to release his winger a few times, but nothing certain. Was certainly strong in the tackle, and bumped a few off a couple of times.
Progressing nicely needs to work on his partnership with swift but that'll come they're both young

| Just read the post match comments from Brown.
Seems if you are carrying a knock then he will not risk you. Nothing serious with Wheeler. Surely Lance has played himself into the bench spot if nothing else.

| On another note, in round 3 of 2014 we have matched our total number of 40:20s from 2013 - good effort!

Wheeler was dead leg in training, so nothing serious.
Quote Brown says -
"We're obviously happy with the result," the former Huddersfield Giants boss said. "It was tough.
"We had to work hard to get the score we did.
"I think we're a work in progress. The guys working hard for each other but we know to catch up with Leeds and Wigan and Huddersfield and those sides, we've got to keep our feet on the ground and keep working hard and improve.
"Our defence seems to be improving, we're not perfect but the pleasing thing is that, when things go wrong, the guys are covering for each other"
'"
I couldn't find comments about not playing player with a knock - is this on a link?
I think he was more interested in keeping HiHo happy by ensuring he felt part of the squad. I'd prefer Wheeler but knowing his history with injury; its as well he has HiHo who incidentally played very well tonight.
Question - why didn't he play like that last year? (no excuses accepted saying he didn't have Luke Walsh last year).

| Apart from his break at the death I was pretty dissappointed with Lance in attack. Kicked the ball far too much at least 5 times & none that threatening. Walsh was supposedly going to allow Lance's running game to flourish, other than his one trick of dropping the shoulder/dummy I didnt see anything to excite me. Solid enough I suppose, certainly gets on bench before Wellens but Wheeler a shoe-in next week.

| The only real concern I have at the moment is that when we take Walmsley and Amor off, it seems to be an opportunity for the opposition to get back into it (probably helped last night by Salford bringing Morley on). Masoe coming back will help, but LMS needs to roll his sleeves up a little, I reckon.

Intensity definitely drops off when they're off the pitch, laffranchi can't compete at that level, as you say, the addition of the smiling assassin will definitely help, can't wait to see him next week!

Who's place will Masoe take? We're calling for Lance taking Wello's spot on the other thread, would we drop Boof for Masoe, or would someone like Jones be in danger of losing their spot in the 17?

Ideally I'd drop Boof, but no doubt it'll be Jones

| We've also got Beaumont to add to that pack too, who could replace laffranchi. Difficult to not get carried away after 3 rounds, but I think that is down to us having a few seasons of dire rugby. We seem to be getting back to the style of play we know and love, which is exciting to see. Fingers crossed we can keep the momentum going!
Amor is the new Kevin Ward, Percival is the new Paul Newlove!

| It seemed to me almost like you found it too easy to make yards and break on the edges in the first 20. As a result I thought you got a bit one dimensional for a while just taking it up the guts and playing a bit of one man rugby, like sometimes happens when you play a championship team and after a while everyone wants to have a piece rather than playing how you should be doing. That said this period did coincide with Walmsley and Amor going off so you weren't quite getting the quick play the balls that you got at the start.
All in though I thought it was an impressive performance again. You guys are throwing the gauntlet down. I'm just disappointed we couldn't turn you over last week because the way you are playing it would have been a great scalp for us.
