If I was Sam Hopkins, there is no way I would sign for St Helens ahead of Wigan/Warrington. OK Saints are a in SL, unlike Leigh (well there is no promotion), but they have been on a downward spiral since Millward left.

Players are never the most reliable 'insiders'. We all assume they know stuff but quite often they are actually the last to know.

Saints players don't even know what position they are playing in until kick off, they wouldn't have a clue as to who the club are potentially trying to sign.

As most know on here, they been very reliable to me over the years on signings, injury news, team news etc.

Could this be another "Adrian Shelford" scenario. Verbally agreeing to come to Saints but on paper signing for the wigoons.
