A player of the standard you and some in the media thinks he is will never have a 'quiet game' at a final; that will be the exact game when he will be dominant. Sam was 'quiet' against the Exiles too. He's 'quiet' against any team who actually bring a defence with them because although he is undoubtedly a good player, he is not the level of good that the recent hype has stated he is.

I am sure half you never read some post completely, did I condone what he did, NO! I said he was in the wrong, yes it was discussed on TV which shows Our Game in a bad light but the reaction here and on one of the Super League facebook sites is totally over the top, a warning had to be given on facebook not for the first time about the language and sick comments a site that young followers of the game read, so I point the Finger of Guilt at much at Sam and posters who go OTT and have Rants. It is creeping into our game sadly more and more.

So he makes a rude gesture to the crowd and therfore proves that he has a childish mentality to go along with his undoubted football ability.
He also winds you posters up to the degree that some actually hate him. His Club should deal with it, if they dont then they must have the same mentality as he has.

No the minimum age for facebook is 13! but you know as well as me that so many younger kids will go on facebook, it is easy to say it is down to parental control, even under age young people go in pubs, how do you stop younger people unless you put a leash on them, I feel on any website you can debate without having to be offensive or a bully but sadly it is creeping into Our Game of Rugby League and at grounds as well, it is no use hiding behind Parental Control, most of the offenders are adults and should know better.

First of all I'm not a Wire fan, but if I was my thoughts would be the same, any kind of misdemenour should be dealt with by the player's club. I have no axe to grind in the matter, if a player behaves in that manner he should be prepared to take the consequences.

Tomkins was better then Webb who was awful.
He along with McGuire, Bailey & Hauraki were the worst players on the field.
That's why Leeds lost. Wigan were the better team and deserved their win.

I've never read so much OTT bulls*it than has been posted on the Wigan board. They are so far up there own backsides after 12 month of success they've lost touch with all reality!

The is no doubt they are currently the number one side in super league but Christ, we nights as well all pack in now and hand the super league titis to them now.

They are now saying crap like, Maguire is the best coach in the world and has has the biggest impact on super league than any other coach, joel Tomkins has scored the greatest try ever in the history of Wembley, Wigan are the greatest club in world rugby, they have the greatest fans in world rugby!

Jesus, they've won one challenge cup and one super league title in about ten years.


A reality check is certainly in order!

At the moment Wigan are on the defensive against anything and anyone who dares to criticise them. Deep down they are seething that everyone thinks the CC final was given to them due to officials mistakes etc. On the surface they may try to show they are 'happy' but they can't take in the fact that everyone else (more-or-less) isn't happy for them. It's really taken the shine off their win.

I agree, you can't make a post without being shot down! I got a barage of insults because I posted that I dint think Joel Tomkins try was the best try in the history of Wembley.

They are using the " everyone hates us and we don't care" crap that they used when they dominated in the 80s.

For what it's worth tho, I don't think the officials handed Wigan the game, the was few forward passes but the same on both sides. Even when Leeds was on top in the 2nd half I always knew Wigan would go the other end and score which they did.


Any team that beats saints, wolves and Leeds deserves to win the cup.

Rugby is a family game and enjoyed by men, women and kids.

Let's be honest, I see enough fat cap wearing ugly pigs watching Wigan at your games.

The Pie eating idiots are now saying millward is a rubbish coach because he failed at Wigan. They think everything is about them. They have forgot the great job he's done at saints and Leigh but all that don't matter because he failed at Wigan.

When they want to empty the stadiums; when they want to empty the amateur clubs who rely on the mothers of kids to bring them to their training sessions and matches; when they want to close down rugby league clubs because women form a significant number of the volunteers and paid workers who keep them going; when they want to get their bollox crushed by a female prop forward or their nadgers nailed by a feisty female second rower. Have you watched female rugby league? Try it. I recommend it.

Oh, and Typhoo are the shirt sponsors of Saints next season and they have stated that one reason they were interested in sponsoring a rugby league club is the number of females who are involved in the sport and they want to reach that demographic. So even nationally recognised companies recognise what you clearly missed: women have great value in rugby league.

Good post saintsfan. I coach a under 10s side and most of the lads are brought to training by there mums and many if the mums work wonders for my club in raising money and sorting food and drink out for the kids every weekend.
