At least he's a body. I just hope we're not paying him as a big nrl signing. We still need a prop however.

I thinks it's pretty obvious that Puletua will play prop just he is doing currently as a 13.

When fit you won't find many better packs in SL. It's once again the backs that worry me.

He's probably only going to make our bench if we've got a full squad, so you'd hope they haven't paid over the odds.
Assuming they've only paid what he's worth, then if we signed a worthy squad prop (Davis from Wigan looked interesting in a Cas shirt on Sat) and kept Leon, I'd be highly delighted with next year's squad. I don't know if we'll manage that though.

Quite a damning sign for Ashurst and Dixon, though.

I don't want to do the lad down he may be a good player and the time in the NRL may have done him good BUT..

He isn't the position we are short of we need a Daddy Prop!

In theory, we could almost play a second rower in every position 1-13 next season!

To be fair, Keith's a decent prop. I wouldn't mind him back at Saints.

But it's took him a long time, when did he come back from Aus?

My concern is more the size of him, he is very small for his position. Hopefully he punches above his weight.

He could turn out to be a great signing, it's very hard to tell at the moment. I'd be a lot more confident if he was being picked over there every week, but he wouldn't be coming if that was the case.

2004 and he had a good season for Saints. I remeber thinking he should have got the Lance Todd against you guys. Had a bad time with injuries though in 2005 and found himself out of favour by the time Anderson took over. Had an unsuccessful loan period at cas, before (re)finding his feet at Hudds.

This signing has confused me. We need a prop and not a backrower. We are oozing backrowers. Unless the plan is to play TP at prop, this signing makes no sense at all.

This must almost seal TP at Prop. Unless we are buying without consulting the coach, about his plans for the team.

It could be a very strong 17, it just depends on how we go with having back rowers develop into props

Strange that Saints have signed another backrower but I rate him. Obviously very hardworking like people have said but he has a fair bit of skill about him as well.

Not necessarily. But perhaps the end of Moore as a potential replacement hooker.

You can now name a starting 17 for Saints that does not even have Flannery and Wellens in it. That for me indicates we have more depth next year in terms of replacements, but I do concure we look a prop short. But maybe we just can't get our hands on one.

ie would people have prefered Hill over Flannaghan.

Is a 2nd rower NRL player better than a championship prop?

Moore could easily play as Royce's utility back, whilst also covering every forward position apart from prop.

Not a bad utility guy to have, better than sticking an under 21 winger on the bench only to have 5 mins at the end of a match.

Flanagan looks to be on the bench this week, so that is good news. He needs the game time.

Good signing but I can't help echo the comments that it isn't what the squad particularly needs. Could turn out to be a very good move though, we'll just have to see.

Maybe a Chris Joynt esq type signing?
