| LMS may well improve as he has only been at the club for a short period but yesterday he was completely anonymous when Puletua and Graham were off the pitch. He should have been calling for the ball on the full and clearing the gain line but very often he was nowhere to be seen and it was left to Gardner and Foster to take the ball.
If we're going to schedule our forwards in such a fashion that sees Graham and Puletua off for 15-20 minutes he's going to have to man up. It would also be useful if Meli took the ball up more often. In the second half I barely saw the man whilst our second string props were struggling to make yardage.

| Sam Moa is better than Tony P. He could serve you well when we buy Tony off you. Of course I am half joking. I would love Tony at the Wire. But look into Sam Moa. He has always impressed me and always shines in a poor Hull pack

| Does anyone know our overseas players situation next year?
If Graham flannery and TP leave we will need some experienced quality players to replace them.
With lance hohaia already signed mean we may have to replace them with English players and not many off contract worth taking.

Current situation:
Overseas Trained: Meli, Soliola, Puletua.
Overseas Quota: Flannery, Perry.
Next Year (assuming Flannery and TP leave):
Overseas Trained: Meli, Soliola.
Overseas Quota: Perry, Hohaia.
As I understand you are allowed 5 of each, so we will have 3 quota spots and 3 overseas trained spots (Kolpak etc.).

| Puletua will NOT be at Warrington next year. 2 year deal at Saints or a return home to the NRL is the current situation.

This sounds more like it as it chimes in with what has been said in the media.
Firstly, TP was offered a one year deal by Saints. TP asked for a two year deal. Saints offered him a two year deal. They had already given him compassionate leave during the off season to visit family and sort out some matters back home. He is now fannying about trying to sort out matters back home and giving Saints the runaround by the looks of it (TP didn't say it like that, obviously! He said he wanted to sort out matters at home and then hopefully he would be able to continue being at Saints)
I think the Warrington rumour has as much foundation as the one about James Graham a couple of seasons ago. For TP it will either be Saints or back home.
Personally, though, I'm getting totally bored of our players fannying about over their contracts. They are beginning to irritate me.

I think Jason king and Trent waterhouse would two awesome signings for our pack. If TP does stay we'd have a top pack.
Perry
Roby
King
Waterhouse
Sia
Wilkin
That would do me with LMS, TP,clough and Dixon/ashurst/magennis etc on bench

You need to keep in mind this is their lives and they are not breaking any rules. It can also work 2 ways, for instance and I'm speculating here but Leon Pryce is not having a great time injury wise at the moment, whats to say the club arnt fannying about with his potential contract offer to see i he makes a 100% recovery or if there's a better option on the market ?

I agree with saintsfan, the club should tell the players that have been offered new contracts that they need to make their minds up in the next two weeks. If we leave it any longer we will miss out on the quality players that are available.
From what I gather, saintsfan is correct, TP is giving the saints club the run around as I gather he's looking for a club in the NRL.

nothing wrong with 'timeboxing' contract offers but in that case Saints need to be strong and consistant....

The club must have a fair idea to who is leaving. I just hope we replace them with quality experienced players not go all out with youth.
I'm all for playing the young lads but the balance of youth and old heads needs to be right.

I get a feeling Lance is the first of a few signings , some of them will be forced with key players leaving but I think a couple would have been planned anyway if nothing else to boost season ticket sales for the move to the new stadium

Waterhouse for flannery would be great business by saints. Waterhouse is top quality hard working 2nd row.
I'd be very happy if we pull that off.

I don't care anymore! I'm tired of it all. Tony Puletua is fannying about. So is James Graham. And both of them are irritating me.
As for Leon Pryce, he has already spoken to the chairman and they have agreed to wait until he can actually play before talking further. Royce Simmons has said that in the press. That is a wise decision for both parties. This injury may be the end of Leon Pryce and both he and the club may not want to take things further. He needs to be fit before any contract negotiations take place, especially since we clearly have options at stand off.

The fact Royce has said that lance will play in the halves next year can mean only two things.
1. Leon Pryce will leaving.
2. Royce don't see lomax as a halfback.
Thoughts?

I'd be suprised if JLo doesnt stay at 7 ... It could also mean Pryce moving to 13

Royce has already stated that we need four halves. If Wheeler is supposed to be one centre then that will leave Gaskell, Lomax, Pryce and Hohaia in the halves.
However, if Wheeler CAN JUST GET A RUN OF GAMES then it might be that he doesn't end up as centre after all but steps in for Leon who will be dispatched to the players' retirement home that is Bradford.
