I like how both fans are trying to pass the mantle of favourites.

Saints - we have half a team out, wigan are clearly favourites.
Wigan - you guys have way more grand final experience, you're favourites.

Ok, most of saints recent grand final experience....is losing experience, that's not a good one. It will either drive the saints players on to make sure they don't lose another (but wouldnt that have been the case last year? and in 08?) or the pressure will weigh heavily.

As for saints being without 1/2 first choice halves it is a clear, definite and a huge disadvantage. That alone swings the favourites tag round to wigan even if saints had finished 20 points clear at the top.

So, wigan are favourites, but it makes no difference. It really doesn't. Saints gameplan will need to spot on. But I just fear, that even with all the grit and determination in the world, you need gamebreakers to win a grand final. and saints are without 2 of theres. Cuopled with wigans outstanding defence and control of the ruck, I can sadly only envisage a 4th loss on the trot for saints.

I think saints are going to be good enough to make grand finals for years to come so they need to get this monkey off their backs and win one.

When i think about it, sometimes a little bit of wee comes out.

I am not nervous really. We are the underdogs, the pressure is on Wigan as the team that finished top, and has no real injury issues. We are without both our halfbacks. We cant lose really.

I anticipate the Saints team to be fired up, and will play their hearts out - if they do that, we may lose or we may win. All we can ask is that they give 100%.

Well your going to get beat. Don't you know Wigan have there flag at the back of their main stand? Apparently thats gonna get the players fired up. Talk about creaming. Its a flag ffs.



The pressure is on pies tomorrow, after the season they have had, losing would make them massive chokers.

I think you lot should beat the pies, come saturday. Personally don't think they're as good as they think. Would like to see you win, be a good end to a Keiron Cunningham career, he deserves it. And I feel a tad sorry for yer, after last 3 years.

I have been nervous for more than one week, I left manchester airport for a holiday in Corfu, new where we coming as we have been a couple of times, checked in and one of the first people we talked with is fed up, he lives here and cannot get permission to leave the country for the big game, I asked which big game, my team are in the grand final against the old enemy a week today, oh, dont panic i too am a SAINTS fan, no he said, I'm a wiganer and proud of it, well I said you should be but don't hold out any hopes for next week cause we are gonna stuff your team and you know it. Well don't be to sure of yourself he said, we are top of the league and owe you, dream on, you know your team will bottle it and the lads will bring the big one home to St Helens. I beleive and so should the rest of you, we are the best in the business at winning, now come on you Saints fans get behind em!
