Fully expected it at some point.Had Wigan played Leeds in the Saturday semi and lost and we were steamrolling the Dragons on Sunday,you can bet there would have been more than the odd chant of "are you watching pie eaters."

that song does make me cringe,it was only 1 stand that was really singing it...the stand with the drum and the vexed up 15 year olds.

It is banter yes and harmless banter at that,but singing ''are you watching s**t helens?'' to a team we havnt beaten in 40 odd attempts is a bit silly isnt it.

''are you watching wigan scum??'' on the other hand would have gone down a lot better.

I think the whole 'S**t Helens' chant is woeful. Wire are the only team that constantly sing it in our meetings - it just proves the lack of lyrical genius in their fine land. If you're gonna turn our chant into a way to abuse us, at least engage the brain a little.

Listen, don't knock any lyrical banter at your grounds. At least you've got a good rivalry between the three of you. Since Bradford went down the tubes we lost our one and only local rivalry. (Whatever Cas think about us they are so perenially bad they're not even a consideration).

So enjoy, it's part of the sport we love.

p.s. Have Wigin come up with anything more than "Wigin, Wigin Wigin, Wigin" etc while pointing their fingers in unison? They are the most boring fans in SL, no matter how many of them turn up.

Spot on. Wigan are the original one-songers of Super League. When we've played them over the last decade or so the only thing you hear is that "Wigin,Wigin" or "Sean Long is a w*****" and nothing else.

You can't hear Wigan fans apart from when they score you'll get the old "W*gan, W*gan, W*gan", yet they have the biggest averages you can't hear them, atleast you can hear Saints and Wire fans singing and when they do they sing half decent songs, like "We're not w*nky anymore!"

I hate Wigan.....
