You lot should be looking at Bellamy, although his coaching would probably "fit in" better at Warrington.

Obviously the top man to go for would be Bellamy. I'd like to see Cunningham and/or Sculthorpe involved at some level, but, as much as I don't like it, the appointee has to be an Australian direct from the NRL.

Strange decision for me. Potter did ok at Catalan, and has only recently started to impress at Saints, hardly setting the world alight in terms of securing a job as an NRL coach. Is he happy to go as an assistant? Had he stayed for a couple more years at Saints, and really started to build a team, then he could have far more easily picked up work down under. At the minute, he is leaving a part done job, someone else can now come in, add finiishing touches to the team, and take the plaudits that Potter may have deserved. Potter will join Eric Hughes as one of the coaches that laid foundations, but never built a winning team.

I told them this months ago but no one would listen to me.

Morgan would not be a step forward. Still, he smiles a lot, appears on the tv and looks good wearing sunglasses and that's all we need apparently.

Morgan should have came 2 years ago, but now we need a coach to take us that extra step. I would prefer Potter to stay, if Morgan was announced as head coach.

Lets toss David Fairleigh's name into the hat. He seems to be in the running for all the top jobs in Australia but never gets them.

What’s Steve Folkes doing these days? (just checked and he’s strength and conditioning coach at Wests) We must get a NRL calibre coach but anything else these days is pretty much a waste of time. Whoever the new coach is (and I pray it’s neither Morgan nor Kear) they will have a difficult first season in charge with most of our home games next year not at home in the first half of the season which means they’ll be on a hiding to nothing because we won’t start well with so many away games. Big risk for somebody coming here now that this competition is competitive.

why would either cunningham or scully be good enough to take over as a coach? neither of them have ANY coaching experience at all. Fair enough they are/were great players but this certainly doesnt mean they are great coaches. I would certainly like to see Keiron Purtill kept involved. He and Anderson did a good job as joint coaches of Hudds. I think Cunningham or Scully could only fit into an assistant role with a proven NRL coach with the top job.
