| I would certainly have him back, I honestly believe he was ill advised about his future and someone got inside his head.
He could have been playing half back in league for England in the world cup if his head was screwed on the right way.
As mentioned he would have to convince Eamon McManus that he is now mature, reliable and dedicated to a future with the club.
Do you think Kyle has been watching the Rugby League World Cup and has realised a fat pay cheque is no substitute for the game he was really developed for.

I personally think Kyle realised very soon that he wasn't going to adapt to Union. His Twitter postings initially were all about the League he was watching whilst injured. Then there was a spell where you could tell he was trying to fit in, asking where the best pubs/restaurants/shops were in Bath etc. Then there was a lot of moaning from the Bath management about his physical condition and there was obviously friction there. But all along there was an undertone that he wasn't enjoying the sport itself or adapting well on a personal level. A lot of his interviews mentioned that he was the butt of all the jokes from the public school boy brigade at Bath and it seemed whenever he wasn't playing he was spending his time in Oldham rather than Bath. It could all be down to the fact that he's getting no ball at all in the backs at Bath and realises he's unlikely to make the Union World Cup squad. If he's out of that and the big money being an international brings, whats the point suffering the hassle of playing the club game? I'm pretty sure SBW feels this too, if they would allow him to play NRL and international Union for the All Blacks, I'm convinced that is what he would do.

| What on earth does 'burnt his bridges' really mean? It's all in the past, we've all got over it and if he comes back and repays us it'll all be forgotten.
Anyone not wanting to take the risk on him is daft, especially with how desperate we are. He'd compliment Walsh superbly too.

| I'd have him back without hesitation. He's a player that can make things happen on his own, out of nothing. There aren't many of them about.
Sign him up, get a public apology for his conduct that last time round and everyone is happy. Easy

| Problem with Eastmond is when he came on the scene he was a great individual talent with huge potential. He has never moved on from that status.
Compare that with other young players with big talent who within a couple of years of making their debuts, were driving their teams forward: Cunningham, Graham or Roby for Saints; Sinfield, Burrow or McGuire for Leeds, Tomkins and Charnley for Wigan, the Burgess brothers at Souths.
Eastmond at Saints was just a bright individual talent, he did not replace Sean Long. It doesn't seem like in union he has pushed Bath to new levels either.
Potential is overrated, he needs to get the right attitude. He was compared a lot to Jason Robinson for his speed and explosiveness but Robinson was streets ahead as a professional.

Was he always though? I'm sure I remember reading Robinson crediting Tuigamala's arrival at Wigan for not only saving his career but his life as well. (I might be exaggerating that, it was a long time ago). Wasn't the early Robinson a heavy drinker before he found the good Lord?
Eastmond was turning into a brilliant player before he left. I'd say he'd be the best player in Super League if he did come back, he really is that good. He was just a cocky young kid who had his head turned by promises of glamour, fame and fortune. It's happened before and it'll happen again.

| In a heartbeat.
If we had Kyle at 6 and didn't seriously compete, then the coach would have a lot to answer for. IMO
There's plenty of lads he knows and seems to have kept in contact with at Saints, it would be easy for him to come back and slot in and perhaps he would look at it as a way to right any bad memories of when he left.
Get him. Bring him home.

| Everyone deserves a second chance. Neither Eastmond, nor a selection of our fans, acted in a way which you'd be proud of in hindsight. But people grow up, times move on, and hatchets get buried.
If we have the money to compete, I'd throw it into the ring.

People grow up???? the way he is acting at Bath I don't think Kyle has quite managed it just yet.

Seems to have cleared up.
Kyle didn't act in the best way after he'd decided to go and was deservedly dropped to the reserves, but you may remember there was a couple of games later in he season where Wello was injured and Eastmond came in at fullback. He looked good and the overall threat of the team was upped tremendously, but as soon as Wello was back, Eastmond was (rightly or wrongly) shoved back into the reserves. That was a chance for Eastmond to leave on a good note, but the club took it away from him.
Life's too short to hold grudges. Eastmond had more natural talent for RL than anyone we've seen in the last 10 years, including Mr Tomkins and, whilst you may want to criticise his attitude, a return to a loving Saints fold may teach the lad a touch of humility.
There's also the fact that now RL has as bigger golden carrot as RU, in the NRL gold rush. If halfbacks like Dobson are picking up NRL gigs, there's definitely possibilities for Eastmond to join them in the sun.
Come back, he'll improve our team massively, even if he has lost a bit of edge by playing a slower sport.

| Why would Salford go for him when they've already got Smith and Chase?
Why would Kyle go to Salford, an unproven team, where he's going to have to start as 2nd fiddle, when he could get to Saints and have the 6 shirt with little trouble.
Sign him up on a decent contract with a NRL transfer clause in that has a fee attached. if he makes a go of it, he get's his dream $ move and we get financially compensated.

Unusually, I agree with Saddo. I'd guess Kyle left under a cloud because (a) he had a difficult choice to make at the time, (b) he's a young lad, (c) it's his career and (d) the abuse was pretty bad when he finally made up his mind to go. He also left Saints in a bit of a mess because he was our obvious number 7 for the future and we've been in a difficult situation since he left. That said, I'd very much like to see him back at Saints and I would hope he'd be sensible enough to realise that time is a great healer for management, fans and players.
If you read this Kyle, I reckon you'd be warmly welcomed back here, mate.
