How people can claim KC shouldn't have been the choice for the statue simply because he is still playing is beyond me. His record speaks for itself - he will absolutely be held in the same esteem as Voll, Murphy, et al.

Keiron deserved it because old rugby was utter rubbish. In the olden days people couldn't run properly. People ran like they were tickertape animations and were even black and white in some instances.

That clearly shows you depth of rugby knowledge, even though it was not my era I am aware that you do not get wingers these days like Tom or Bevan at Warrington, they were real speed men, perhaps Albert was the nearest. I Rate Paul Wellens more than KC, Paul is a gentleman and has been a credit to the club and game, most people outside of rugby league only know KC for the disgust expressed by Mail readers about his gun shooting! at least people outside of the game know of Vollenhoven and Murphy for example for what they achieved. The mob who have not been happy with a lot of what has happened to the team and the way they have played (and still play defensively more times than not) has existed and still exists. But just because people don't agree with one coach does not mean they want any old body to replace that coach. I certainly don't. I've never heard of the latest guy as he was around before my time but from what people have said he does not sound like a very good option. Hence, although I have not been happy with Potter I don't want worse than Potter. I want better than Potter.

Mal would be the best choice and good for the game as well as the club! but is the time right now, perhaps that will be by the time the new ground is ready and open?

To add to the above:

There is a shortlist of four for the job, all of whom have been formally interviewed. One of these is a 'preferred option' of the chairman but he will not mention any names as you would expect.
