Couldnt help but notice something unusual on this pic



Look to the south stand on the right and you can see something black that stretches from a vomitory to the executive boxes.

Could these be seats going in with black plastic covers on them, or am i getting overly excited about a pile of bin bags ?

We need a bigger picture from Saints to know for sure.

From the position theyre In Id say that Is actually a pathway.

The style of the red cladding, particularly around the windows, gives the stand a retro 1970's design look IMO

It looks great but dose anyone know when the gas omiter is beeing pulled down.

That red part on the main stand looks fantastic but the rest of the metal round the outside looks shocking. Hope that is being covered up.

the gasometer is being pulled down soon when the falcons nesting in it have left I believe, the metal cladding actually looks stunning close up I thought it would look tacky but its really stylish

What? What is wrong with the outside of the stadium as it is now? There is nothing remotely shocking about it. It's far more aesthetically pleasing than your ground or the HJ with the brickwork and bare metal on show there.

If you want me to be honest I will be. I am jealous, any Wigan saying they are not is lying. I would love our own stadium even if it had to be something like the HJ... however, Wigan along with Hull play in the best facilities in the league and we pay peanuts for it.

But once our stadium is online, you won't be playing in the best facilities in the league. We will.

And it'll belong to our club so they will be able to raise all the money they want for themselves and be boss over who uses their stadium and when. Your club never will.

Chill out, everyone knows Wigan is a football town.

The HJ has seating down 1 side and behind 1 end. Same with standing.

I don't think the saints new stadium is as good in terms of facilities as the DW or the KC.

They are both premier league standard stadiums with a larger capacity, all-seater, more . Without doubt your new stadium will be the best purpose built RL stadium though.

And, yes I am jealous it is your own. However, I am happy to be playing pea-nuts to play in the stadium we play in.
