My recollection is that the dire stadium naming rights were bought for £750K for a 10 year period by the halliwell jones car dealership group (which runs out in 2014).
It seems a lot of money but £75K p.a. is IMO quite cheap for advertising on this scale. At the time however, dire were well and truly dire so it looked like a brave bid.
We should get at least £1M / £100K p.a. given inflation and our SL sucess. |

Obvious Saintly connotations, and can be the 'GPW' Halo, 'Gillette' Halo, 'Probiz' Halo etc etc.
That's what I'M going to be calling it, anyhoo.

i do remember the area saints stadium is in what was part of the sherdley estate going back a few hundred years and hardshaw brook is culverted under their somewhere anyway b0ll0x to the possiblity of any geographical connotation to ground name its gonna be some ugly sponsors acronym
