I don't really care who wins to be honest, hoping for a really good, intense, physical game. Hopefully it takes a lot out of both sides.

If i really did have to pick though, i think i'd go for Warrington, just about. Basically because there the right side of the Pennines and the song 'Yorkshire, Yorkshire, Yorkshire' has to be one of the worst i've ever heard, its up there with 'Wigan, Wigan, Wigan'. Just boring and dull, so because of that, if i really had to pick, i'd just about go for Warrington.

Hopefully it goes to Golden Point.

My allegiances start at St.Helens and work outwards(skirting round Pieland,obviously)so it's Wire for me.

Definitely not 'Dirty Leeds'. Dislike goes back to the early 1970's. However cannot bring myself to cheer on the Wolfs due to the amount of vitriolic abuse thrown my way on a regular basis, which is dressed up as banter. Proberly sit withmy back to the game for the full 80.

As a wire fan this thread has made me realise how much you lot really do hate leeds. I never thought it was so intense and i can't believe so many of your fans want a wire victory. I am pleasantly surprised.

Maybe that is an older generation thing. In the 80s when i started watching i would cheer anybody playing wigan/saints/widnes and my dad would bo11ock me saying 'you should never want a yorkshire team to beat a lancashire one'. I just think the derbies on this side of the pennines are a lot more intense and there is more hatred between the teams. The yorkshire lot always tend to stick together, hence the famous chant that no doubt be ringing round wembley at some point.

I live in Penketh which is home to a large Saints contingent and the banter between us is terrific! There is certainly no malice or unpleasentness but of course great rivalry. The Wire fans among us are obviously more cocky of late and with every reason to be so and I think the Saints realise this. The majority of the Saints fans I know are Wires for the day on Saturday which is good fun for us Wires to tease about but really has no relevance.

I for one am delighted that Kieran Cunningham is ok to complete his career. I am also disappointed that Jamie Peacock will be missing from Saturdays Cup Final

I live in Newton-le-Willows and the amount of hatred that the local Wire fans have for us borders on the obscene. Such is the bitterness that our long run of wins has caused, I have no doubt that when they do beat us, it will end up in carnage.

At the end of the day, none of their supporters would stick up for us against Leeds, so why the hell I should I stick up for them?

I can't stand Leeds but I don't know any of their supporters on a personal level. I will be sticking up for Leeds all day long.

I'll be quite happy if Leeds don't win. Warrington are pretty insignificant to me so them winning is something I can accept.

Well I certainly would along with 6 or 7 of my mates who have done just that at Old Trafford more than once.

I dislike Wire and Leeds, Wire for the muppets on this forum and the fact that some of their fans have been idiots at the wigan games, and Leeds because I live there and as such get too much banter sometimes!

But seeing as Leeds have been Saints and Wigan in this years cup run, whereas Wire haven't had to play a good team yet this year (or last, and that includes us!), Leeds deserve it more.

There is some bitterness from wire fans born out of an underlying respect. I for one will be loving it if/when we beat you but thats because I have a lot of
respect for you. You'll find bar a few exceptions but most wire fans have a good respect for saints as much as we dislike you because you always beat us.
Regarding Cunningham, i to am glad that he is able to finish off his career as he has been one of the most outstanding and respected players in the
superleague era.
