Aye it was a stupid thread to start, and it got (and is getting) what it deserves.
Strange that of few of the posters from back then have disappeared.

The thread was and still is funny and it to a degree is still true. I have a sneaky suspicion that the envy-o-meter will be back in full swing not long after Tomkins jumps ship.

We all say things that we think in the context of when it was said. Dragging them back up after a couple of years just to say that 'x was wrong' is ridiculously sad. Pathetic even. If you get a kick out of doing that, then go for it!

In all honesty I don't envy Wigan. The is nothing to be envious about. You have a good team but so does Leeds, Warrington, hudds, Catalan etc

You lot should know, you get nothing for topping the league in may and only get a rubbish little hub cap if your top at the end of the weekly rounds. Nobody remembers the table topping side come October unless they are holding a trophy up at old Trafford as both us and Wigan know.

Jesus Christ Pete! If Sky told you to yourself would you do that too? You're better than this statement mate. Trolling aside, we, as fans, need to stop buying into whatever Sky and their puppets at the RFL tell us and start fighting for our game. I understand that you're more concerned with the situation at your own club atm but there's a bigger piture too. This attitude is ruining our sport. Even the RFL have finally come round to the fact that they've devalued the competition to such an extent that weekly rounds 'no longer matter'. The day that topping the league no longer matters to me will be the day I stop watching this sport. It is, and always was, the hardest thing to achieve and should still carry the kudos with fans. If it doesn't, then why even bother watching?

I think Wigan fans made enough fun of us when we was finishing top and losing grand finals regular.
