I've already answered why it was raised as a possibility - because people were discussing how it happened after seeing the footage. Nobody is blaming Makinson. Somebody can say he made contact without blaming him; because blame normally involves somebody being at fault which isn't the case here. You are confusing the meaning of the word blame.

I have no wish to argue with you. Everyone thinks Makinson made contact but has made no issue out of that. You don't think he made contact and are choosing to make a big deal out if it.

Just watched it and, to be honest, there didn't look much in it until Luke hit the floor and half his leg started to point the wrong way

An Everton fan on twitter compared it to Bryan Oviedo's injury last season and he was up and about in less than 6 months.

On Sky Fulltime last night they slowed the incident down and highlighted it and zoomed in, and it still didn't look like anyone collided with Walsh, just that he fell over his own feet. The injury itself looked hideous.
