I was there this morning Tuesday will see cladding being fitted, slow at first because of flashing that needs to be fitted at the top, then it will be quick.
Mentioned my talk with the engineer on Redvee, he was saying that the North West corner, the corner without the scoreboard, the corner that wont be cladded, the ground/foundations is to be strengthened, it will then be strong enough to clad that corner, if the club wants to.

Wasn't the perforated cladding idea discarded after the structural survey found the stadium could support the full cladding.

It's not perforated cladding. It is exactly the same as the existing cladding on the south stand.

Looks a lot better with that on!

I reckon the West Stand should start chanting something like 'It's too bloody hot in here' on Friday night, just to test the Chairman's resolve in his promise to shoot anyone who complained it would be too hot with the cladding ...

Heard a rumour there is a Wigun scarf inbetween the cladding with Brigantes wrote in marker pen on it

Saints just tweeted a pic from inside the west terrace. Looks like that end is virtually finished.

West stand isn't completely clad yet



So far only one section of cladding has had the black trim added to the top of it, so even were there is cladding fitted, there is still quite a bit of "tidying" up to do.



One section of cladding sits proud rather than flush with the stadium.This is in the corner of the West stand.
Also note how one section has black trim fitted between the cladding and the breeze blocks, while another section has yet to be done.





Onto the East stand now

This pic gives an indication of the steelwork that's been added to the stand to help provide structural strength to support the cladding

I suspect that by the Warrington game both ends will be fully cladded, with just the North stand to be completed.

Is the North Stand being done?

Yes.

Looks pretty good.

Considering how much they have done so far in a week, they may well be onto the North stand come the Wire game.

No.

It's not going to be a good test against London, against wire we should see a better test

Can't complain about that. It's one thing to ask for cladding, it's quite another to ask for restructuring.

They have now cladded the North West corner, which should portect those in the Northern most part of the west stand from the elements



This pic shows the cladding running down the side of the West terrace.
The west stand looks quite dark and oppressive internally now its been clad.



North stand still looking somewhat naked. Though framework has started to be applied.



Looking at the East stand, and this shot shows a somewhat awkward join with the cladding, in that it doesn't follow the curve of the breezeblocks, thereby exposing a gap between cladding and the perimeter wall,
hopefully this will get filled in with the finishing work
