Both are very good questions. It seems like the decision came from Rod Finlay, the CEO. He reckons they are not financially sustainable as a Superleague entity at present. My guess is that they are not. What this will do to their small but thoroughly loyal band of supporters and their capacity to reinvent themselves in the Championship (assuming they play there) I don't know, but IMO it's a damn shame that the project has collapsed so badly. I was really shocked when I learned they had withdrawn.

Reasonably experienced prop, showed decent ability at Wakefield but was knocked back by getting Crones deseise, but sems to be back on his feet. Couldn't be asking much wages, would probably relish a chance at a big club?

I think you've summed it up pretty well. Two to three years ago Moore looked to be turning into a very good prop. But since being struck down by illness he's been unable to recapture that form. Through Crones disease he's lost a hell of a lot of weight and looks unable to put it back on. To be honest I've not seen anything from him of late to make me think he'd be a decent signing for anyone.



Wigan are going to be in a similar position next year to Saints. Assuming Coley retires which looks odd's on to happen. We'll be going into next season at present with Lima, Prescott, Mossop and fingers crossed a fit Fielden. With back up provided by O'Carrol, Crosby and Spencer.

It appears as though Ben Davies has left Wigan after pretty much confirming it on Twitter. We're still waiting for an official announcement on where.

We are believe it or not being linked with Luaki from Hull FC who's OOC this year. I'm just hoping to god that this Luaki talk is just BS. I'd be chuffed to bit's if Wigan signed O'Hara though.

Where's O'Carroll up to? He's had a torrid time lately, hasn't he. A bit like Frodsham at Saint, although he hasn't managed to get things back and looks like he'll be released.

Played his first game in over 12 months for the under 20's a couple of weeks ago. It's gonna be a long road back for him. Even before his injury there were question marks over whether he'd make it at Wigan. Saying that those same questions were leveled at Prescott and he's gone on to prove otherwise.

He'll find his way back hopefully. the advantage of being a prop is every squad needs 4 or 5.

Yeah played against Wakey the week before the CCQF. Played well to, but Prescott returned from injury and got the nod for the QF. I'm pretty sure he'll play this Friday against Hull FC though. We'll no doubt be resting a few for the week after, as I'm sure you will be. Carmont would be wrapped in cotton wool and only unraveled just before kick off if I had my way.

What I don't get is if they are not financially viable in SL, how does reducing their income in the championship make them any more viable. SL players can be no more than 50% of revenue as it stands. I hope they do go in the championship, but not holding my breath. Maybe the money was never viable.

I don't think Senior is that well liked tbh so no.

I don't think so, Meli has proved very useful at centre so much so he would have been centre in the exiles squad if not for the drop out of King. Replacing 1 out of the top 2 foreign centres with Senior would be a mistake.

He thinks it is demeaning to play in the Championship.

Personally, I hope nobody offers him a job. But I'm sure someone will be desperate enough.

We aren't that desperate though. We have much better centres already.

We have better options for centre than senior.

O'hara could be a good signing, but does he only stand out because he is playing in a poor team?

I'd say he's done remarkably well to perform how he has in a constantly beaten pack. Put him in a pack like Saints, Wigan, Huddersfield etc.. and he could prove to be an incredibly valuable workhorse. Certainly isn't shy of putting in the hard yards.

I've not looked at his stats. I just thought he stood out more because all the other forwards they have, aren't near as good.

Think Chan will be a good signing for the Giants. O'Hara got player of the year the other year, club captain and stat wise very impressive.
Was at West Tigers a few years back so Royce should know all about him, looks the best bet for prop.

Well, none of them are going to be commanding a massive wage and will all be glad of a job next year, plus there's the possiblity they will not have to relocate if they go for Saints as we're reasonably local.
