Wilkin seemed to do alright for his first match back after a month out.

The lines he runs are what people don't notice.

Remember against Wigan at Murrayfield when he didn't play, and Long/Cunningham were running across the line looking for runners, and there were none?

I don't know what some people need to see from him before recognising his ability. Calling him average is absolutely insane and makes me wonder what game some people are watching. He is a pivotal player for us without a doubt.

And IMO he is just ok and nothing more.

He looks way out of his depth when he played against kiwis and Aussies.

He does a job and nothing more.

IMO he was out of this world against Leeds in cup but that's the only game that stands out.

And can I Add that wilkin was 1 of my fave players and I thought he would go on to captain saints but he has stayed at the same level for 2 years now.

But he had more than an ok game. He is different to every single one of those players you have mentioned in so much as he has a greater "skill set." He gives us more a more dynamic out put, and an extra option.

Gilly is a powerful and fast second rower come centre. Clough is one of the toughest out there, will run balls up all day and tackle for his life. LegoHead offers a good pair of hands and a steady turn of pace through a gap. Bennett offered workrate and dependability.

Wilkin offers, and almost always delivers the extra option. The amount of times he dummy runs not to get the ball, but to get smashed is very unnoticed. As mentioned, this was missing against Wigan at Murrayfield, and why we looked so flat.
