I'd have Alan Prescott, Billy Benyon, Cliff Watson, Dick Huddart and George Nicholls, Paul Newlove in ahead of Jones, Wellens, Haggerty, Pimblett and one-season wonder Goulding, how he's even got a mention on it is beyond me.

The second one with the '66 cup winners badge is my favourite.
A few alterations will take place over the next couple of days, but it is REALLY coming together.

I like the idea of having a retro badge, but I think the flag with the modern badge looks better as it is a bit less busy.

| Sorry to throw a spanner in the works, especially as I provided a list for Ski to analyse, but Dick Huddart anyone?
I think Wardy is a must if we are going for Cooper. The man was a legend on both sides of the globe which is rare indeed.
Doogal, medals is not a sign of greatness. It is a contributory factor, but it is a non sequitar to conclude that it is medals alone that show how good a player is.
As it was anyway, Ward won a Premier's medal with manly so can rightly conclude to have won the highest club accolade in the game.

Thing is, I've tried to include a spectrum, something everyone will find something to recognise.

Exactly and to be fair, I think the mix is right.
It looks quality work so far and can't wait till it is unleashed in all it's glory.

| not sure about Goulding at all, 1996 he was awesome, and was the lynchpin in us winning the league....but, the way that he left the club and his behaviour off the field in 1997-1998 brought the club more disrepute than almost anyone else.
On the whole, I would argue that Perelini and Newlove both deserve to be on there before Goulding. They too were major contributors to the 1996 victory, but performed for Saints at the highest level for years longer than Goulding, and they won a lot more trophies.

| Now, in terms of funding. Nurse-navy-saint off'f redvee got in touch with our friend Tony Colquitt, one of the head honchos and essentially our go to guy in the club. We put in the idea, and suggested that maybe the club aid the funding. this was the reply we got.
Quote Hi,
Sounds like a great idea. I will e mail across dimensions when i get back to the
office. I dont think you will have an issue with size though!
I would be happy for the club to contribute . As you would imagine and expect
the club will be ensuring its past is not forgotten when we move. We will be
working on several areas that hopefully should ensure all parties are kept
happy.
Dont hesitate to e mail me if you require anything else.
kind regards
Tony'"
This is of course great news. However, we now have to get is finalised, and qutoed up with various companies I have found online.
The inclusion of Saints.org.uk is very important. Much of the fundraising will be through fan donations. Sadfish has kindly offered that anyone who donates will have their name forever imprinted on a special page the site, about the tifo and in recognition of the help in getting the work off the ground. He has offered to handle donations, but we will finalise those plans in good time.

Ive highlighted who i agree and disagree with.
Notable missing
Alan Prescott - one of the greatest RL players of all time. Prescott is a legend in the UK and Australia. This man won the ashes while playing with a broken arm, while captaining GB. He captained the Saints team that won its first challenge cup winning the lance todd in the process. The guy is a RL immortal, to not have him in is a disgrace.
He was a brilliant ball playing forward, who had also been a schoolboy sprint champion. Over 400 appearances for Saints. 31 GB appearances, (most be a Saints player).
Herman the German - Founder of Saints. Without him it would never have began.
George Nicholls- just read Dave Dooleys biograpphy
www.saints.org.uk/saints.org.uk/ ... page_id=10
Cliff Watson - scourge of the aussies. He absolutely battered them.
29 gb caps. The best ever RU to RL forward convert.

I added Prescott already and Nicholls/Rhodes will most likely make it at the behest of cooper.
I'm pretty sure no photographs of Douglas Herman exist and there is debate that he was actually French.

| I also think that the flag is too heavily weighted in favour of players since the 1980's with little to show for Pre ww2.
Granted Saints had little success prior to ww2 however we still had a few great players eg Jack Arkwright, Alf Ellaby, les Fairclough,William Briers
The legendary 1960's sides also seem under represented. Remember these were the best players in the world, not merely good club players as the current generation are.
This is a list of top 10 appearances at Saints
Kel Coslett
William Briers
Billy Benyon
Eric Chisnall
Dougie Greenall
les Jones
George Lewis
John Mantle
Keiron Cunningham
Tom Van Vollenhoven
All these should be on the list

| If Cooper is to be replaced I would vote for Rhodes to replace him. I would also suggest that Haggerty is removed and repalced with George Nicholls. I loved watching Roy play but I think we tend to look back with rose-tinted specs a bit and we shouldn't forget his brainfarts. Whole hearted, yes, but not a 'Great' for my money.
