Well that weekend could have ended worse. As it is we are only a few games off the top runners, so it still gives Royce time to turn us around.

I can't see five players being rested resulting in any action. We've been resting three players a week this year.

The lad marsh who's on loan sounded like he had a very good game as did the lad from Warrington on loan o'brian

Marsh gave Jack Hughes a hard time today with his pace and footwork. The only problem Marsh has is his lack of awareness of what is going on around him (too much head down) and that's not a good trait in a centre.

I've noticed he runs with his head down.

Widnes have been bashed all over the show all season by all and sundry...yet still beat hapless Wigan.

Happy day for me. I didn the 10k run in 1hr 13 minutes (well faster than I thought I would do it), raised 170 quids in the process AND Wigan got beaten by the new boys of Superleague. Made up for the dismal end to Friday night!

How unfit are Wigan if they need to 'rest' players a month into the season?

The U20's have been playing for about four weeks.

My hips and ankles are killing me, and that's after a nice, long soak! (No idea what I'll feel like tomorrow - dreading it!) I also feel very tired.

I didn't do much training, no, but not out of choice. I registered for the run back in early January. I was unemployed at the time, couldn't afford to join a gym (thinking of the treadmill) so used North Road as my gym (it's close to where I live). However, I then fell ill with that awful virus which makes you cough a lot and leaves you out of breath. It took five weeks to clear and so I only got back to training two weeks ago.

I was aiming to walk/jog but in the end I jogged most of it, walking uphill only. I managed it in just over an hour, which I was totally stunned at as I haven't run anything more than my bath since primary school!

But my sole aim was to raise quids for my charity of choice, which I did (175 of them). Although probably the most painful thing I have ever done, I'd recommend it to anyone as the sense of community is tremendous and knowing it's for charity gave me the focus I needed to get through, especially the final 1km which I spent feeling pretty ill.

I had visions of you and Pete doing it like a three legged race, bitching and moaning all the way round, but generally loving eachother!
