What state he will be in physically and mentally to play at this stage is somewhat in doubt.

I would have thought he might be ready for the cup game in a couple of weeks, but it may be pushing it to throw him in this Friday. Depends on fitness and Jetlag.

I'd play him on Friday. How unfit can a player be? He is a winger so won't be doing a great deal so contributing for an hour would help shift some of the weight. Knowing Francis he'll no doubt turn up looking like Notorious B.I.G with a Freddie wig on.

Thats how I feel, I am trying to stay positive about it and I am hoping that he will realise he has to prove himself and earn his place in the team now.

I also hope that people don't get on his back too much when he is playing, and they wait to see how he does before trying to turn him into some sort of scapegoat.

Mr Meli is a fantastic player and his presence in the side will lift our backline. Get him back in as soon as possible.

Don't get me wrong ... if he's at fault for this debacle then he needs his wrists slapping and deserves a bit of stick.

What I'm not looking forward to is a renewed spell of several people around me in the popular side blaming Meli for things that are happening on the other side of the pitch, and inventing something that he's done wrong every time he touches the ball. If nothing else, it's friking tedious.
