Lomax did finger not thumb and tp looking at 3 month gardner 6 week and wheeler hamstring possible calf

Lomax dislocated his ring finger, could play this week if needed but I'm not sure there's any point risking him doing further damage.

He could play after a disclocation, but he also has a compaund fracture, which is a whole other kettle of potatoes.

What most people don't know either, he was doubtful all week leading up to the Wigan game.

Josh Charnley had a compound fracture of his finger last season sustained in the challenge cup final and he played the year out including Knights fixtures so Lomax should be ok pretty soon.

Not the same. A winger doesn't really need to pass the ball, as he's last in the line. He'll probably make 1/10th of the passes a halfback will receive and receive a similar number.

True enough but it would still be uncomfortable dealing with the amount of kicks they have to and taking runs from dummy half each set.

Lomax may need a bit longer but I can't see it being a massive amount of time before he's back.

I think its just a case of every injury being a little bit different. Lomax is a tough lad, and is the sort to play through the pain barrier if he can.

Wigan KNEW he was carrying an injury and were aiming to test him out.

They also knew he was a small half back, like every other team in the league might have noticed.

They'd target Lomax whether he had an injury or not.
