Nothing to do with Saints dominating and Wigan chasing the game, no siree bob.
As we all know - Wigan's mistakes are all unforced, while everybody else's are forced by the unstoppable Wigan machine.

Well if you forced that first knock on from Deacon you must have been offside. Bent ref again.
Sadly for us that set the tone of the first half hour.

Wigan players don't ever feel pressure, Madge won't allow it, so it will never ever happen again.

Like you have said we wont be as bad on Saturday and i will stick with what i thought 2 weeks ago early on in the season when we played you at your ground you could stop that roll on we got and the scoreline said it i still think that was our best performance this year and hope we can get back to that form
Saints are hitting some form now we shall see on Saturday if the week off hurt you or helped is it right you played Leigh academy at the weekend?
It will be a good game and i will be supporting the winner next week cause i cant stand either wire or the whinoes'"
I don't think we played Leigh Acadamy but we played a team made up of our under 18's and the under 20's. Or at least that's what it said on the TV.

| I see a little more spirit amongst the Saints faithful this time. Not read the whole thread could not be d but nice to see more confidence in our abilities than two weeks ago.
Last time I said it would be 20-24. I was a little out this week I expect a clear 10 points if not more in Saints favour.
The biggest challenge for Saints is the concentration levels. With a week off we may not be as quick into the game. But I think Royce knows this. I think Wigan will struggle to score in the first half and with no Wigan crowd to give several repeat sets. The penalty advantage will be with us this time.
I saw nothing against Catalan to make me think Wigan had improved massively over the week. Catalan gave up the ga.e for me after the second disallowed try.
Wigan are there for the taking our forwards are better and no doubt after thirty minutes of no scoring from Wigan it will be a matter of lets hope Sam can pull us out of this one.
32 - 20. Wigan to get a few last minute tries once the game is dead.
I'm right cause I'm a Saint.

| Wigan fans are way over confident.
They were smashed by saints 2 weeks ago, the scoreline flattered.
Against catalans, I haven't seen catalans look so knackered in a long time. 5 mins into the 2nd half their team couldn't be bothered to get back onside until about the 4th play.
Great commitment eh? Wigan were playing a team that couldn't be d after the first 20.
Fair play, they took advantage and beat them well. But wigan fans seem to be deluding themselves that it was some scintillating unstoppable exhibition of rugby, come on, get real.
The logic wigan fans are using, that they played poorly and lost narrowly, so better performance this week = win.
Sh*t, we aren't on the playground here, sport doesn't work like that. Leeds beat hull by 30, who beat warrington, does that mean leeds will win on friday?
No.
It will be a close contest and whoever wins will lose against tony smiths unstoppable juggernaught of success in the final.

What's the attendance forecast for Saturday then?'"
What a bell end you really are. Wigan had two home games in a row where the price wasnt included in the season ticket. Bear in mind when you go to a game majority are families. The reason i didnt go with my family was purely financial reasons. Add to this no Catalan fans in attendance.

| I'd actually agree with most that.
I still think Wigan will win, the lack of depth in the saints squad should tell with the games that matter.
It does reflect well on simmons and the squad that they've performed so well in a transitional period.

The doubts I have mainly circle around the fact that Wigan have been settled as a good team for a while, whereas we seem to have just figured out how to beat you.
Our victory the other week was more convincing than the scoreline suggests. I know a lot of WIgan posters are saying how badly they played, but there's obviously a massive argument that it was down to how well we went at them. Unfortunately, the season's overall record has not given me the confidence that we can turn a big team over two games in a row. Hopeful our current form will shine through and we'll turn you over again.

Quite right, at I Half Time I texted a couple of mates who are Saints fans asking how we were only 8 behind given how much we were dominated. I never expected us to be able to play 6 derby games in a year and not lose, so as much as Saints deserve credit for their win, it doesn't bother me all that much now we have another crack at you in a do-or-die situation.
Saints went well at us, of that there's no doubt but there is an element of our under-performance that explains not so much the score in the game but the dominance of it.
For Saturday, I expect us to come out 10 times faster than last time we played you. Should be a cracker.

We've had similar periods of dominance in most of the other games against Wigan though, with the exception of the Stobart game, without our halves being composed enough to do anything about it.
Hopefully Lomaskell now have the faith in their own abilities to trouble you.
