Why quote Saints and why the



I am talking about SL as a whole. Take your amber and blue specs off and come back down to earth. On the whole SL has been poor.

What about the Salford v Leeds game etc. You know the ones you should have won only you didn't.

Salford played well and deserved the win as did Quinns the match before!!

I've been less games this season than the previous year and I'll be going even less next year. The game in this country has become dull in my opinion and obviously I'm not the only one that see's it. The evidence is there when you watch the unorganised National team representing us at the end of the season. It's one out or nothing, no flair, no guile, nothing. The game is going downhill for me and has been since 2006. 2005 was the last really entertaining season as a Saints fan and even though we won nothing, we played some brilliant rugby. Since then, the standard has dropped offensively, not just at Saints, but for the majority of teams.

You or anyone else can agree, you can disagree, I don't really care.

I'm not too sure in the continued logic of trying to be rational with Leeds trolls. They can see the point being made and they might even agree with it but they will never say so on here because that might encourage real debate on ideas to fix the dull Rugby were suffering with. It would also ruin there trolling attempts. Untill the aussies and Kiwi's thrash the 'new look' England they need to find somewhere to get there kicks.

I totally agree with DD and like DD it isn't simply a Saints thing. Saints have not adapted as well as other teams but that may be because our coach has opted to up our defences rather than skill our attack as an answer to the change in style of play. And that seems to be what many teams have done, Hudds being the most extreme example. The Superleague game as a whole has slowed down. It is frustrating to watch and boring to watch. I have enjoyed Championship matches far more than Superleague matches this season as the infection does not appear to have reached those games. Yet.

well as i continue to state, this is not in reference to the grand final.. at no point have i mentioned the loss to leeds as being the reason for this, some leeds fans seem to have a complex that everything saints fans say or do is because they have lost a few grand finals..

i'm genuinely worried about the standard of superleague to watch, and having watched some heineken cup tries over the weekend, the tries (few and far between still) are a lot better standard than in rugby league..

i had hoped other fans from other clubs would sign the petition, but it appears the obsessed leeds fans have seen otherwise..

and i'll reiterate, a quicker play of the ball would probably now be worse for saints than the current system

I thought quinns were awesome that night! Against Salford the last minute of both halves Salford scored interception tries! That summed up the game!

But the Leeds team and coaching staff have a great philosophy!

If you ask them they will say they lost only one game in the 08 season(saints in the semi of the cup) and 2 games in 09(manly and saints in the cup) other than that the team achieved it's goals! I like that approach!

Don't backtrack on this, we should take this to the high court! We produced more free flowing action on Taylor Park 15 years ago.

I went 20 seasons without seeing a major trophy lifted but at least I saw some great rugby league football on the way.

They do see, there just trolling. I cant believe any Rugby League fan not even ones as stupid as the Leeds ones posting on here cant see the standard of Rugby in SL now is horrible

I'm a Saints fan and a season ticket holder. I just hope the RL remember who actually makes this sport what it is and give us back our entertainment,

What makes you think they will. Rules change, Sport changes and you just have to adapt. You lot are carrying on like your team has not adapted, maybe they are it's just taking a little longer to get into gear as it were. As far as entertainment goes that is a matter of opinion. Personally i like to see the halves getting the better of well organised defences, this makes them better halves and not one trick ponies as it seems Roby is. Don't get me wrong i like Roby and indeed do rate him but his game has not changed in line with the current game, along with a few others.

We still won it, three times on the bounce, so why do we have to change our banner?

We haven't adapted and we are not sure we like what our coach is talking about when he says we have to learn how to hold down just long enough as that suggests the only way we are going to win matches in the future is by producing more of the dour stuff we have had for the second half of this season.


Indeed it does and a lot of fans, from a lot of clubs, have found the game as a whole slower and more boring this season. If too many think that way, the game will be harmed as people will simply stop watching it.

As much as we did win it 3 times, tbf 2 of them have left
