| Quote ="Rogues Gallery"And Gleeson.'"
Not sure you mean Warrington paid an inflated salary for Gleeson or whether Wigan did to take him off Warrington. So in support of my argument looking at both instances.
I would suggest Warrington did at the time as they needed to pay that inflated salary to attract Gleeson to move to a club in Warrington's position. However that salary would still have been a damn sight less than if Saints had wripped-up Gleeson's contract and he could have gone to the highest bidder salary wise rather than to the only club willing to cough-up the transfer fee. Obviously Warrington had plenty of room under the cap at this stage and continued to have cap room for seasons to come eg could afford to sign a not cheap Andrew Johns with room to spare under the cap.
As for when he moved to Wigan I'd imagine his saoary would have been the same as what he was on at Wigan. If he had been out of contract with Warrington I'd imagine he'd had been able to negotiate a better deal either out of Wigan or somebody else (but not Warrington as we were glad to be rid of him from our changing room).

| There's a rumour flying round at work that Warrington have been found guilty of breaching the salary cap and will be docked 10 points, with the RFL possibly throwing them out of the Challenge Cup. If this is the case the Home Office have just stated that they will be looking to deport the wire to Easter Island, they will have no longer than two weeks to leave the U.K. with their possessions being sent to them at a later date, speedboats, Lamborghinis and super bikes etc. Is there any truth in this?????

| It's not just 'The Scouse toss pots' though, I'm thinking most club fans are keeping an eye on Wire's salary cap because it is looking a bit ridiculous right now.
I will be quite surprised myself if we don't see a slap on the wrist fine at least.

But why is the speculation much Higher this year, could it be that wire are riding High in the league and looking like a genuine threat maybe ...

| No just the genuine look of the squad...
Wigan are riding higher than you currently and we aren't getting funny looks at our cap because our squad is no different than last year other Deacon.

But thats what i'm saying, its just a jealousy thing due to this years success. The live cap might not be foolproof but any club trying to cheat it would be crazy, but like i said we didn't get all this speculation last year, its a weekly topic now lol.. last year we got rid of four players who were acoording to opposition fans at the time we signed them would of been on a fair wedge, Rauhihi, gleeson , johnson and reardon. we brought in Myler ,Atkins and Solomona... Looking at that i'd say the outgoing salaries were more than the incoming ones ..

I think your wrong there - that point just happens to suit your argument so you and others keep trying to make out people have only questioned Dire's SC this year - people have been wondering how you've done it since Moran started to spash his cash on the likes of Morley

Bet you said that last year and the year before that.
Its because Wire are doing well and people don't like it people like you.
No one questions anyone else like say Hull FC they have likes of Long, O'Meley, Fitzgibbon, Cusack and Berrigan yet we never hear them getting called up for it.

| Rauhihi and Gleeson would have both been a fair wedge... although it seems we're paying more for coke fiend than you were.
However, I can't see Johnson and Reardon being on a lot tbh.
Myler, Atkins and Solomona could easily be more than than those four on the cap, especially with what Myler will be on, being the highest paid young player around if I remember that correctly.

Solomona had an injury hit season last year and not many wanted to take the chance on him hence the 1 year deal so I doubt he's going to be taking alot of cap space up.

| Myler will be on a fair wedge for a teenager but if you thinkk he's on anywhere near our top earners like morley and king your very wrong . Solo wont be on a big contract either and i reckon atkins would be somewhere in the middle of those 2 but in time him and myler will rise to the top of the wage structure at wire .

No you don't remember correctly, you've just made it up.
It was said by Salford (after they had agreed a fee with Warrington for Myler) that their offer would have made him their highest paid player. So what - a Wigan youngster was offered to Salford having played less than 10 first team games for Wigan and Salford couldn't afford to take him on as he would have been their highest paid player.

| Interesting that nothing has been said about image right payments lately. Last I saw reported in print was that Hull KR and Warrington had addressed the issue and had been cleared.
Wigan did confirm in their last set of company accounts that they were under-investigation in relation to this issue. Have they issued any up-dates since?

Again, could it be beyond the realms of possibiltity that Myler (along with Atkins) joined Warrington for the chance to play under, who was then, the current England coach who after seeing what he accomplished at Leeds and how he developed some of their players into regular internationals?
Also could challenging for honours been an important part of their decision or are these two points ridiculous and they both signed for the cold hard cash????

Because at the time you didn't even get into the playoffs. Yes, you won the cup but you weren't one of the big teams in the league,

I've told Rogues who the player was. I trust he will not breach the privacy of my pm but I'm sure he can confirm that I have informed him of the player. Whether he believes me or not is up to him. At least he responded with a reasoned response in a rationale polite manner.
Now you show me where I have claimed Myler joined Warrington for "the love of it". I gave a reasoned response on how I think Warrington balance the salary cap perhaps you would take time to read it and see if you can give a reasoned response why you consider ii a "desperate attempt" at anything. I personally think you will struggle to actually read it as it contains words of more than two syllables.
