Is there a gypsy curse on Saints when it comes to injuries ?

I think Wire sold their soul to the devil, make sure we don't get injuries but the pay off is you can't beat Saints no matter how thread bare they are.

We have Morley, Carvell and Bridge all supposedly biscuits but they have done quite well for the wire.

I feel for you guys on the injury front, i think all proper rugby fans want to see every team at full strength

One of our U20 lads was speaking to him today in the Griffin.

As a KR fan can't wait for him to come up against Newton, think it could be pretty tasty, as long as both players are fit to play when we play saints expect fire works lol

I've never noticed before but on that video Ryan Bailey comes in and hits perry when there's 3 other Leeds players on him and then once all the Manly players arrive he quickly stops.

Living upto his cowardly $hitouse reputation he has to everyone. (Except Leeds fans of course)

Any suspicion that he could actually walk the walk evapourated at the KC, when he waited for players to surround Radford until he kicked off and tried to butt sean long.

As for Perry - only has one move, but it seems to work alright.

Perry and Ben Cross who is at leeds for 2011 have been having a on going war over the last two seasons and looks like the is a real hate between the two.

He also has a little war going on with newton for obvious reasons and who can forget the fight with Peacock.

Perry's fists will be busy in 2011.

Hope the ref's red card isn't busy then.

He will be admiring the clouds often too.

We'll have to run with Graham/LMS/Puletua/Clough as our 4 props for a month or so then, still not too shabby. Frodsham in reserve I guess.

Back row and bench from Wilkin/Soliola/Flannery/Dixon/Ashurst/Magennis (assuming Roby and Moore share the hooking role).

Definitely good enough to compete until March IMO.

Also, from what the manly forum said about Perry, he's apparently been a much more fierce at the times in his career when he's had something to prove. So hopefully when he does get on the pitch, he'll be raring to go.

Well, I did say earlier on in the thread that he was going to miss the first 6 to 8 weeks of the season, which in my reckoning is March! He'll then only be able to do 15 minute stints.

Well our season starts February 12th so with some luck he might only miss 3 or 4 fixtures (Quins home March 11th is round 5), but we are far better taking it steady and having him right from the outset of his career rather than rushing especially after how last season panned out.

I heard from someone that clough was going to be used as a prop this year anyway.

He was effectively used as a prop last year, and he did a good job there, much better than alledged props like bryn!

Cloughy played as a prop in 2010 and was excellent IMO. Check out his stas compared to, say, Andy Coley who had a good year for the pies:

Very similar stats across the board, but with Cloughy making slightly more metres per carry and busting a lot more tackles. Discipline wise Cloughly is much better though, with far better stats for missed tackles, penalties, errors and red/yellow cards.

That's in his first real season as a makeshift prop - I think he'll be a real stand out for us at prop in 2011, especially with more front line props in the shape of Perry and LMS coming in (then again, I thought he was great in 2010 too).

In the same game he came up with that beutiful inside ball to Wello for one on our tries in the second half (or was that the Cas game?).


On loan at Widnes, rather than dual registration, I think.
